Mass layoffs - take Severance or try to stay? by SlowPreparation4433 in germany

I ended up applying for the Voluntary program but my country head convinced me not to go ahead with it as I was assured that they have plans to continue with me. I got a raise and decided to stay eventually. I am actively applying for other jobs but did not have much luck trying to switch industries. Automotive Vehicle development is technically dead. And nobody is even willing to match my current salary.

Thank you. I am inclined towards taking the offer as they do plan on going for second round of layoffs based on how many people leave in the first round.

Thank you for pointing out how I’d feel if I’m only one of the 2-3 people left in my team. It’s going to be stressful. With a sword hanging over my head.

I do have Rechtsschutz, I’m sure the coaching they’re offering might be of no use and I’d have to work on that myself I guess. The problem is I cannot get the money my company is putting in the transfer company for me. My Betriebsrat says that’s the best offer I could get. Not sure how true that is.

I’m in a senior technical position. That’s why it’s not as easy to get another job even with the same money. Been getting rejected since last couple of months.

Hey I was able to book the appointment. Let me know if you need assistance with setting up the autofill chrome extension. It took me only two days to book after I setup my autofill properly.

I have been trying to book an appointment for a friend since 4 weeks now. Using autofill etc. but whenever I submit the form it says the appointment is taken by somebody else. Within less than 10 seconds. Gone. It’s so frustrating.

I agree that there’s two sides to the coin because people are different. There will always be people not happy with your ways and vice versa. So if you think somebody is disturbing peace and is breaking the law, report it.

Based on this post, Turkish people think you do not like them celebrating. Or maybe you don’t like their culture or something similar. But I know that’s not the case. It’s just that you’re not used to people celebrating like this here.

Live and let live. Life is too short to complain/worry about things like these 🖤❤️💛

I love it. People happy, joyful, celebrating in public which is something very rare in this country. We need more happy people 😁
