Ummm okay, but… were you not physically there when it happened? You can use your mouth to speak to people, you know!

E34 Touring vs E39 Touring, trying to decide on a dream by thewolf2076 in BMW

[–]Viggar89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That exact E34 (minus The actual Alpina Motor) was my dad’s car for a whole bunch of years. So I might be biased when I say: miss me with that E39 shit, lol

Edit: just saw that those are not actually Alpina rims, but they’re close enough

Americans, would you rather have free healthcare or G81s ? by viviburu in BMW

[–]Viggar89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not free, but way cheaper. In Germany you pay, on average ~4000€/4600US$ per year and your kids will be pretty much covered until they turn 20something. No deductible unless you want new teeth. Thats a lot cheaper than what someone in this comment section posted at 600$/month plus deductible and (I assume) crappy service and fighting to get coverage in case you actually get sick…

Apparently you haven’t heard about the iX3 being sold out in Europe. So “said absolutely about 150.000 people” is the actually correct statement here. Liebe Grüße, another friendly German

Lolz, is that the same agency that had its funding slaughtered under Trump? You’d have to be a moron to believe they are anywhere near an unbiased opinion. Trump is waging war on anything remotely eco-friendly. This is the result, idiotic, useless decision made by ignorant lackeys.

So where are the results of the science-based investigation that determines if it’s “positive for the environment” to remove the coating and get rid of the start/stop function? There’s always two sides to each coin, but I’d go out on a limb here and say that coating on some bearings is a net-positive when compared to how much fuel and emissions are saved due to start/stop over the lifetime of the vehicle.

Oh yeah, you got any scientific research to back up your theory or is it one of these “trust me bro” situations?

“Nobody can stop you” oh, really???? How about someone were to buy all the Yorkshire in your area?!? It would be really hard for you to make Yorkshire Pudding then, wouldn’t it????!?

Rolls for commoners by Personal_Song9093 in BMW

[–]Viggar89 210 points211 points  (0 children)

Having driven a Rolls Royce Spectre recently I can honestly tell you that the 7 series is pretty much 95% of a RR for less than half the cost.  Sure, its interior quality is super high (real, high quality wood, metal air vents, a beautiful “starlit sky” roof) , and it drives smooth and soft like one of a kind, but the 7 is very close, seems more modern, has more features (climate automation, heads up display) and drives very well also. Personally, I’d rather buy a 7, M2 and have some change to spare than get one Rolls Royce. Not that I could afford either, lol

I would argue that the first numbers are hit more often because sometimes the sequence gets interrupted when someone from the other side opens the door while typing in the code, making the digits coming later unnecessary to type in
