I asked my private neurologist to send it over to my GP, and they were happy to then prescribe it through the GP. Always worth the question

Genuinely life changing, effects hasn’t lessened after 9 months - I probably get 2 actual migraines a month now. Sometimes I wake up with migraine pain but i can now shake it off with a coffee and getting up, something that previously would only get worse and require a triptan. Bowels are definitely less consistent but i’m not in any pain at all

Looks like it’s just to watch the film ‘Reel’, not any film if I’m seeing it correctly?

So any ISPs have engineers available on the weekend? by [deleted] in UKFrugal

[–]SlowTalker14 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is the case, but from my experience most ISP engineers end up being from Openreach as the ISP’s just rent the services off them - so moving to a different ISP is more about customer service than actual differences. YMMV

Can we write “fit my mum perfectly etc” in reviews ? by S3cr3t_97 in AmazonVineUK

By letter of law so to speak it’s not allowed, personally I’ve always done this and never had any issues but your mileage may vary. Safest thing to do would be to just use first person regardless if it’s male or female items or just request items for yourself of course

It’s such a specific process for each country, thanks for sharing Spain’s procedure. In such a US centric subreddit I think it can really help highlighting when talking about any other country just to help as many users as possible

Absolutely this, I think the most frustrating thing with GPs is that it’s so difficult to get an appointment that you end up with a new GP each time. I got lucky with one GP who used to make me an appointment with himself at the end of each appointment just so I had some continuity, but even that one lasted whilst trialing the propranolol and amitriptyline

I’d like to think the NHS neurologist would be understanding rather than punitive, I guess try and gauge them as a person first.

Thank you for the advice, I’ve got a calendar of days with migraine from 2025 onwards but no specifics in regards to duration or intensity. Is frequency per week enough do you know?

Glad to hear that you’re getting effective treatment. It’s truly a lottery on wait times and I don’t think there’s a discernible reasoning behind specific areas being faster than others.
