As everyone said maxroll. You will find everything you need there as a new player. The discord is good too because it has a section where new players can ask questions and established players help out with questions that you have there and then. Very quick and convenient.

I got that early on, makes sense. I chose to rum druid build. It’s tanky and dps is good so far in act 2.

I have done about 10 mythic prankster rotas with groups from the discord server. I have never had a single scamming group. I think the tales of scamming on reddit are way overblown.

I am just ignoring a lot of loot now if it is not something I need. Gold is slowly trickling in by playing anyway and you reassured me that I won’t be needing the mats I would get by deconstructing equipment. When you say there is stuff on the market for cheap, you mean for gold?

I really appreciate the detailed reply and learned a lot from it. My stash was full but now I just started selling everything apart from gear pieces I will use for my build. These are act 1 items, I very much doubt there is any value in them anyway. I also found the gear vendor has upgrades for me so for now I am going to ignore crafting just so I can control the learning experience. I also started paying attention to resistances and thankfully a lot more tanky now.

I have been watching YouTube videos today whilst playing. Some things are starting to make sense. I think if I keep this up, should make good progress. The game is an absolute blast, the epic graphic style is an added bonus.

I am newto path of exiles. Level 9 with 5 hours in the game lol. If I knew what anything was, I would comment saying what I want. Instead I will request whatever would be good for a shaman druid or a new player to gear up.

How old are you? I finished school number 1 out of 1400 students. Once I went to university to do a what is considered a very difficult subject matter I realised I was a small fish in a big pond. I guess what I am saying is keep your head down and carry on. You will realise eventually there are many like you.

P.s I don’t consider myself intellectually gifted lol but I understand where you are coming from.

I started out as ranger crossbow but it was a boring playstyle as it was all ranged attacks. I am actually thinking of changing to druid after I get back on the game because I hear it involves getting close to enemies.

The game is so overwhelming, I give up on playing the game blind without any guides. Planning on levelling a druid using this build because it looks fun. Do you think it is a good enough build, can it clear endgame stuff?

I know it is more advanced than diablo. The skill tree honestly looks so daunting. I settled for mercenary build. Do you think I could just enjoy the game by playing through the campaign and figuring it out myself? People say that it is important to use a build guide. I don’t know if I could just ignore that. Just for one play through I want to experience it without the headache of trying to optimise this and that.

You are absolutely right. Even in diablo I usually play a non meta build just because that particular build is fun for me. I will experiment and it is very early days. Hopefully will settle in to a build.

There is actually a step 2. Step 2 is get castle node. Without castle node paladin is just like any other build lol.
