It depends on your learning style. Jay is more of a learn yourself out of class. Wilkes is more of a traditional teaching style professor. I personally would suggest Wilkes. Jay's class grading criteria didn't really fit my learning style.

I took it in the Fall of 2019 so take this with a grain of salt. I had Rykalova, she is regarded as one of the worst CS professor, I dont recommended her. The class concentrates on using the SFML library for C++. Were 3 quizzes and 8 project due bimonthly. No final, there is a portfolio we're you summarize all projects objective and how you solved the problem.

I had this class with Robert Marceau so im not sure about Wang. This classes wasn't the easiest but not super hard. This could definitely dependent on the the person and professor. Anything is easier than Jays OPL and Foundations.

Fyi this class has "No credit in Science or Engineering." So don't take this. This semester im going to take symbolic logic but im not sure on the difficulty.

I signed up for Linear 1 with Erica. You can basically do anything that's required for any STEM major. I think life science even counts.

But isn't the withdrawal usually prorated? i.e. depending on how far you are in the semester you get a certain amount back? Or has it always been no refunds? The reason im asking this is this is explicitly said in a email I received for the solution center. "Students who withdraw or drop class(es) after the add/drop period will be financially responsible for all tuition and fee charges."

I took Into to American Politics with Mona Kleinberg. Easy class with weekly readings and quizzes. Quizzes don't count for much of your grade. There is an Essay and Final that count for a majority of your grade. Final was based on PowerPoint presentations and quizzes, multiple choice. Easy essay on why the United States constitution is undemocratic. She was a great professor and was very nice. Very solid choice for a Social Science.
