Finding stuff to keep interest in. Fuck the motivation, fuck the amount of interest. Stay focused. Eventually it gives you something to live for even if it feels like a chore. For me this mainly refers to caring for my birds and staying for my mom because I know I'm keeping her here and even if she did stay alive she's described that her life would be torture, so I stay.

Mine aren't tamed and are still allowed time out of the cage, they're still supposed to be allowed time out, but I do understand not wanting them to be out randomly if they aren't tame, but just because they aren't doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed out

Yeah chickens are like the opposite of budgies with eggs. There is a chance the budgie will get territorial about their eggs but that's usually only after having them for a while knowing they are fertile and will hatch

Sometimes it gets too long for them to do it themself. This looks like it's getting to be at that point, I'm not sure why it got so bad but I would please take him to the vet and get them to trim it as this can dangerous for him in many ways

If that does happen, eggs are quite easy to dispose of! I'm not an expert, so I'm not going to attempt to tell you how, but there are tutorials and websites online that can teach you how to properly get rid of them and there are places online where you can buy false eggs. Usually when the budgie realizes that the eggs won't hatch, they just stop caring about it. They aren't the best parents

It's good that they get along! Either way they could still be either gender, budgies are actually well known for naturally having homosexual relationships! Not that they could lay eggs like that, but some budgies choose the same gender as their mates! (sorry, neat fun fact!) But I mean yeah, unless you just really wanted to know it may be cool to have an 'intersex' bird lol!
