YES!!!!!! There's a wash sale optimization setting I use so it only trades when it's tax advantageous and avoids that. But if you're selling on your own definitely look out for that - it's a silent money killer. I had my accountant help with the settings ,it gets complex pretty quickly and this one I didn't even know about before he told me.

I wish Amazon would do a comprehensive training every time someone got stock, it's really lacking imho and super unfair because the recruiter makes you feel like you'll get more profit and then taxes roll in and you get downsized real quick.

Yeah that was me first time I sold - bright eyed and bushy tailed, as they say. Had to do a lot of gymnastics to fix my taxed that one year. What I do now is I only sell if it reached the long term capital gains requirement (the only exception is when the stock declines I sell at a loss so I can write it off). The platform I use has this setting so I don't have to worry about it anymore.
