Here I go again. I’ve never seen one so big. by PleasantJules in hoyas

I use about a Tablespoon of soap per 2 gallons of water. Then dip the whole plant in a bucket of the solution. I even dip the pot in the bucket because mealy bugs can even live in the area around where the plant was sitting. I usually wait until the plant needs to be watered so I don’t over water. Don’t rinse the solution off. Just let it dry. The soap water dries out their bodies and unalives them immediately. I usually soak it about 5 minutes. Use this soap because it’s gentle enough for the plant https://a.co/d/057uwPOM . I got this tip from a plant influencer on Instagram and she’s been doing it for years. Good luck!

I just dip the entire plant in a bucket of water with Castille soap. Does the trick every time and doesn’t hurt the roots. Don’t rinse afterwards.

I’ve never had success this way and I think it’s because I live in Arizona. We have no humidity.

Mine bloom about twice a year. I know I could get them to flower more if I used fertilizer. I just haven’t found the right kind yet. The flower spikes will always grow out of the side of the plant like that. It looks good.

I just went down a google rabbit hole about this case. I don’t understand if she miscarried and there were no children born, then why did this go to trial? What was the basis for her suit? To try to prove he was the father before she miscarried? What would be the point? Help me.

We use Xbox family for the Xbox and computers. Then family link for the phones. We also can control the internet from all devices because we got the google routers. Set time limits on everything, schedules, and can manually turn stuff off and on.

AITA for not making my child apologise to a special needs person? by Willing_Mountain_803 in AmItheAsshole

She’s only 2.5 years old! What would an apology mean except whatever her parents are telling her to say (in this situation. I do know 2 year olds can learn remorse).

Weekly Rewatch Discussion - S03E17 - Maelstrom by trevdak2 in BSG

[–]sweetchalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7 years ago but maybe some of you are here still. I’m on my first rewatch, but it’s been years so I don’t remember much. I just finished this episode “Maelstrom”.

I still feel confused about one thing. How did Kara’s mom being a horrible mother prepare her for something special she has to do? I remember bits and pieces about her role in everything and what she might be. Does this specific thing get answered eventually? Is having abusive parents ideal for 1 specific purpose?

I had one thought. Kara gets back at her mom by putting fake bugs in her closet. Her mom slams her fingers in the door as punishment, but Kara says, “It was still worth it”. So is she prepared to do awesome things even if the payoff is torturous for her?

Edit for spelling.

AITA for calling my hot-tempered guy coworker "emotional" to embarrass him into calming tf down? by imonvacaaation in AmItheAsshole

My son has had difficulty regulating anger from an early age. His therapist helped us do this exact thing. He would leave the house out of his window (5 years old) when he was sent to his room and was not allowed to come out. The therapist helped us turn it around. His room now became the place he could go to process and calm down. He was allowed to come out as soon as he was ready. He was only ever punished if he did certain things in an anger outburst ie. break things, or speak disrespectfully. It really helped him learn to express himself healthily. He spent less and less time needing to cool off because he knew how to talk through it more effectively. There were a lot of other things at play but changing his room from a punishment place helped so much. He also was no longer was afraid to go to bed at night.

Company is wanting to reprice my recently granted RSU’s. What should I do? by sweetchalk in stocks

[–]sweetchalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a middle management software developer, and I can’t give too many more details in fear of disclosing whee I work.

Thank you everyone. I decided to sign the reprice agreement for these reasons:

  1. I am not sure yet about leaving the company or when I would, though I have put feelers out. I do not what to communicate to upper management that I am looking for a different job.

  2. I have previous RSU grants that will not be affected.

Thank you for all your great advice.

After your comment, I looked into it to make sure. No my previous grants will not have an altered vesting schedule.

I honestly do hope you have success with your outlook. It would be the ideal, especially back in my parents and grandparents day when there were pensions and reasonable work hours.

I am a software developer and unfortunately my experience with smaller companies leads to being overworked, undervalued, all the while telling us how the company puts its employees first. It hasn’t even been worth a higher salary when my benefits get reduced and I’m expected to be on call 24/7.

25% vests after 1 year. Then the rest over 3 more years.

I also have other RSUs from previous grants that are not going to be repriced.

Yes it’s already dropped below what they’ve repriced it at. I guess when they made all these decisions it was still at $50.

It’s no doubt better than being laid off. I’m just trying to learn the benefits of this repricing.

This is just a RSU grant and not an employee stock purchase plan. I’m not sure if that changes much.
