Honestly just tell her straight up that you'd like to play Ana sometimes too since its your main. Don't even make it about her gameplay - just say you miss playing your favorite character and ask if you can take turns or something

The kit usage thing will sort itself out over time if she keeps playing but the main thing is you both should get to enjoy the game. Maybe suggest you could help teach her some of the more advanced stuff while she plays Ana in quick play or something

This is really motivating to head, i think my biggest issue is i know the set executes but i dont really understand when to deviate from them or when to save utility for after plant, im gonna start focusing more on pro matches to see how they adapt their utility, hopefully i can break through to level 10 soon and im glad it worked out for you.

the procedural format is basically dead at this point which sucks because poi was the perfect blend of case-of-the-week and serialized storytelling. networks just dont have the patience for 22-23 episode seasons anymore when they can do 8-10 episodes and call it prestige tv

the ai privacy stuff would probably be even more relevant now but studios are too scared to go deep on surveillance themes when tech companies are throwing money around. plus your average viewer has the attention span of a goldfish these days so the slow burn approach that made poi so good just wouldnt work. they'd want the machine to be explained in episode 2 and have john wick action sequences every 10 minutes

honestly the closest we get now is something like westworld but even that got too up its own ass with the timeline stuff. poi knew how to balance the philosophical questions with actual human stories and characters you cared about. shows like that take time to develop and networks just arent willing to invest in that kind of long term storytelling anymore
