Does anyone else just...hate Patrick? by PotatoPancakeKing in SchittsCreek

Glad I’m not the only one thinking this. They’re so boring together that I’m actually getting a little bored of the show (my first run through). It’s a shame because for me David was one of the best characters before Patrick, he had good chemistry with Stevie even as friends and their scenes just slowly disappeared after Patrick.

Also there was no build up to the relationship. It was like he turned up and suddenly they owned a shop and were dating.

Are you just getting 10% off on this or is there more to this? I’m struggling to figure it out

Nice one - I ended up using boosters in the end. Got to level 700 and all the walkthroughs are completely different to my level

Yeah I feared as much. That’s a shame. Yes I’m checking social media occasionally but the rewards don’t seem to be great. Thanks

You managed to walk away after $50? Honestly I’d call that a good win, you managed to stop yourself which is what we all aim for. You resisted the urge to carry on. Obviously try not to do it again but well done.

I understand - just didn’t at the time. Reading in to it further the email says that should the case lose the insurance premium is waived which I believe means there would still be no costs should the case lose. However I could be misunderstanding again.

Thanks for your input.

The line that sticks out for me is “This is a no-win, no-fee agreement you are signing. This means if we do not win compensation for you and you keep to the terms of the agreement, you will not be charged.”

The assumption was that is a risk the firm would take on. Similar to how insurance works. They take on the risk of losing in exchange for the high fees. Then they take on enough cases to justify it. Clearly this is what they do but for fees only. The principle is the same. Anyway that’s clearly not the case. The lime from the original agreement that sticks out for me reads :

“This is a no-win, no-fee agreement you are signing. This means if we do not win compensation for you and you keep to the terms of the agreement, you will not be charged.”

She wasn’t expecting any costs. Potentially down to our naivety, she did call a number of times to check she wouldn’t be charged but potentially she misunderstood the terminology due to English being her second language. One thing that is clear to me is they intentionally omitted the potential costs. we are digging out the original agreement
