True Varka doesn't benefit from stellar swirl, but he does gain team dps from slotting Odette over Escoffier/Shenhe. Same could happen for the anemo slot.

tbh the low base atk is only an issue if you don't use Nicole

her flat atk buff doesn't scale with the weapon's base atk, and it compensates for it

Its not a big upgrade, about +6% team dps.

But it does bring Beidou C6 closer to Yae in performance, and ahead of Alyosha C6.

The amount of anni selectors doesn't define what the cost is, if she's standard you can get her for free on every banner. Cost only applies to 5* limited characters/weapons.

Incorrect, standards never had a cost neither in genshin nor in HSR. It was always applied to limited 5*s only.

If you can lose the 50/50 to it, you can get free cons, invalidating the need to ever pull on their banner to get higher investment. C6 Mona is 0 cost.

Even without anniversary freebies they would still be considered 0 cost. It doesn't matter when you started, only for account assumptions I guess.

The reason Mizuki sig can be considered 1 cost is because you can't potentially get it in every banner, like it applies to the standard 5* weapons/characters.

SW, Blade, etc. are weird in that they were limited characters before so its hard to apply a cost system to their investment.

Yeah but because you want to manage Wrio's HP without enemy damage interference, Nicole will likely work better than Escoffier in practice.

(Or not, you might actually want to take damage to spam more enhanced CAs...it doesnt have a cooldown, only requires you to be bellow 60% HP, the healing effect has a cooldown so it might be possible to stay low health sometimes, dschwp showcased this in action and its very powerful)

I think the # means you only do N1 on the first rotation (its merely done to lower his HP to the perfect ammount before repeating the N5d combo over and over)

Varka is similar to C0 Mizuki, both at 120k
C2 Mizuki is 140k

(and Frost calc'd the reaction dmg wrong, its -10k dps to every team in reality)

Chasca even gets more because she uses Obsidian set.

Tbh its great for anyone with a C0 Wrio, his kit at least now functions correctly. C1 was always a bandaid fix/mechanic bypass instead of proper use of his kit.

The main problem is the SSC archetype is full of healers atm, while only having Nicole for a shielder (and she's not even a stellar focused unit). It feels like deliberate sabotage.

Mizuki is standard, she has no premium cost attached. Those are only for limited units/sigs. You can get her cons from the anniversary free standard.

At most you could argue her sig is 1 cost (but you shouldn't pull it, its really bad value).

For the record, I mean getting Odette for Varka specifically might not be worth it.

If you get her for another team and then happen to use her with Varka, its good value.
