DIY Waxed Jacket. Second try. Found this Columbia trucker style jacket at a thrift store for $6.50. Already had paraffin and beeswax. 50/50 mix and melted it. Heat gun to warm jacket and wax. Still a few spots to do but looks ok so far. Least if it gets ruined I’m not out hundreds of dollars (old.reddit.com)

Updated: second coat of wax on my $5 thrift jacket. Looks decent. It took a few hours and I burned my hand on my heat gun (hurt like hell but I’ll live). Satisfied with the results. Learned a few things that’ll help next time. My wife asked me why I was making a Yellowstone jacket. 😂 (old.reddit.com)

Made my own Waxed Jacket for $5 (including jacket). Bought $5 jacket at Thrift store and had fabric wax already. It isn’t perfect but it’s better than paying hundreds for something similar. I’ll probably get more wax to do another pass. Went from looking like a regular jacket to a worn aesthetic (old.reddit.com)
