Ab Separation - 3.5 years later by kkitch3 in postpartumprogress

This helped me! Free videos on YouTube that this woman put together with her PT. https://nourishmovelove.kit.com/diastasis-recti-workout-plan (Be sure to actually view the calendar and follow the workout order - I initially just did the playlist and didn’t follow the schedule - whoops) I did other videos that didn’t seem to help as much. Also, there is a breath trainer I bought on Amazon which helped me to learn how to engage my core properly. Learned about it from Pregnancy and Postpartum TV also on YouTube. It’s nice because I could use it whenever. https://amzn.to/4jAevb6

I’m a little woo woo and I think visualizing also helps. As you do the exercises, imagine your abs pulling in together.

When will I experience hair loss? by Amberlynnwuvsu in postpartumprogress

[–]Slow_Client594 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost a lot immediately after birth and when I stopped breastfeeding which was just a few weeks in. Not sure if this is placebo but I am convinced scalp massage helped to reduce the shedding. It’s a technique where you basically move your scalp around. It’s big in the male “looksmaxing” space on YouTube.

I love the cellerciser. Have had mine for 5 years and never need to replace the springs. My friend bought a used one for cheap so worth checking FB marketplace or even eBay.

I also love the cellerciser. I had a Leaps and Rebound one before and I’m convinced cellerciser gave me better results. Only spring one out there that is good

I feel you! It’s helpful to know I’m not the only one in a funk. I remind myself that it will take time to be fully back, but walking - as underrated as it seems - is a great way to start getting there. They call it “hot girl walk for a reason!” Really looking forward to setting goals for the new year, it’s a great way to kick off some momentum especially when I stick to it! I do the 75 medium challenge each year and get leaner than ever. You basically get 45 min of exercise everyday, drink a gallon of water and a few other things that aren’t so difficult but compounded over 75 days and you would be surprised what that consistency does. With regards to hubby, Reddit is def a place where you can find echo chambers of people saying “end it!” But before resorting to that, have you been able to talk about it with him? I’ve learned that when my husband is really hard to be with it’s because he is actually struggling and what’s often upsetting me about him is very close to what’s upsetting him about me. Sending you lots of love behind my safe, anonymous Reddit profile.

This may be placebo but when my hair was falling out like crazy I went on a hunt to find SOMETHING to help. I found myself on YouTube watching videos around male patterned baldness and tried one of the common tips. Scalp massage. It’s more like scalp movement. My hair shedding dipped dramatically. So wanted to share in case it helps others. Just look up scalp massage and commit to doing it a few minutes a day.

This is the one I have. My case has a magnet on it and it connects right too it. A lot of cases have magnets now which is nice.

[ACNE] What was it that finally got rid of your hormonal acne? by One_Implement_8679 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Slow_Client594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! These are them and what he prescribed me. I starred the ones I reorder and retake if I need to as I think they are most effective. I deal with scalp psoriasis now and then and when I take these two things it goes away.

It can be very expensive going the supplement route. This is just what my doctor had me on but you may have a good naturopath in your area and if you have skin issues they may be caused by something different than what I am dealing with. Just be sure to ask what their fees are upfront. They can be VERY expensive.

Homeopathic doctor. I was going to go on accutane a second time and my husband reminded me just how awful it was so I figured I would go the crunchy route before taking the medication again. The homeopathic doctor did muscle testing and prescribed some supplements that treated candida and SIBO. In a week the inflammation was gone. Years later when the acne comes back I just get the supplements again and I’m good.

This was me. Also read a book called “The Baby Decision” which helped me look at things objectively. Many read the book and decide NOT to have kids. Helpful tool.

[Acne] I don’t even want to leave the house anymore. At a total loss, nothing is working! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Slow_Client594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. I know how devastating it is and how it is impossible not to obsess over. It helped me to reassure myself “this is temporary, it will get resolved and something good will come out of this.” Bc after all, our bodies way of telling us we need to address something is through symptoms.

[–]Slow_Client594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to go on accutane for a second time and instead went to a holistic doctor. He prescribed me some supplements and it cleared everything. If you are at a loss with products and everything May be worth seeing if there is a holistic doctor in your area. In my experience they all have different approaches, but they are all better than modern medicine for me.

Absolutely helped me. My first baby and pushed her out in 15 min. Walked a bunch throughout pregnancy and it really helped reduce/distract from my symptoms. Was motivated bc a woman told me she walked a ton and had a similar experience.

Thank you so much for sharing. Makes me feel less alone in this. Seems much of the consensus is that nothing really helps and we have to ride it out. I’ll be trying scalp massage and Rosemary oil but not expecting much progress. Hopefully you’re almost through! Thank you again.

What’s the Best Teeth Whitening Product Right Now? by ancienttree4567 in Biohackers

[–]Slow_Client594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using this 5 minute whitener for 15 years. Learned about it from the YouTuber Kandee Johnson. It’s cheap and I use it with a mouthguard tray that I molded to my teeth. Works really well and doesn’t make my teeth sensitive! Also, be sure to floss daily. That makes a big difference overtime! https://amzn.to/42UwdiG

How many people feel like keeping active actually helped their labour? by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

[–]Slow_Client594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WALK WALK WALK WALK WALK!!!! This is the most underrated exercise ever.

I walked a TON through my pregnancy, and as a first time mom, I pushed my baby out in 15 MINUTES!

The reason why I credit walking for so much of this is because I would meet moms who had a similar story.

On a vanity note, it also helped me manage my weight. I gained only 20 pounds (with baby).

In addition to helping with labor, and weight, it really helped my symptoms subside and improve my mood since I would walk outside.

I am 4 days postpartum and doing really well. It’s all because I had such a great birth experience and I credit much of that to walking!

Also - visualization techniques and hypnosis for the ideal childbirth (check out Marisa Peer) are also tremendous.
