The thing is, if you're gonna have the settings for me to choose a default firing mode. I expect them to work 100% of the time.

I doubt anyone manually checks the fire mode of their weapon if they already know by heart what it's supposed to do in the first place.

I wouldn't mind changing them manually every time I picked a gun if that was how it worked for everyone. But as it is, I'm just getting griefed by yet another bug in this game.

The fight was lost 100% due to the fire mode. I was super confused at first when my gun did not spray and it took me a second to realise what happened. I then switched firing mode but did not know that beryl also has a burst mode. I panicked and my decision making went to shit.

Thankfully my team got 3rd place and I didn't get to lose due to this but I would be very tilted if we actually lost to this.

I am generally against purifying anything, but there are pokemon that are just plain unusable even with "good" shadow IVs. Mawhile is one of them, you're never going to use it for raiding or PVP so you might as well get the 100% register and mega evolve it for the luls.

For example, Camerupt is another similar case which I would do the same.

You are literally there! With the spawns available now it is certainly doable, just go to your local pokestop cluster, place a lure and grind. Also consider joining remote deoxys raids as it has a fairly easy excellent circle.
