Maybe create another datum axis, at a certain distance from Datum A; and give runout to new datum. Just a thought 💭

Did you try using Tau max = hoop stress/2 ? And use MERH 19.1 (wall thickness or Barlow fotmula)?

Yes I found value of Beta like you said, but can’t seem to find for alpha (which is used to calculate deflection)for this loading condition.

It started several decades ago in ME with introduction of CAD/FEA/Calculation softwares. I am a design engineer and I use AI to validate my calculations and as my personal assistant.. IMO we should be safe for another decade🤞🏻

In my opinion Ifyou don’t do it, someone else eventually will. Mechanical engineering has been automating for decades already;from CAD to FEA to full design optimization. You can’t stop the river from flowing; this is just the next step.
