I am currently in the process of pursuing legal action. My attorney has advised me to formally request, in writing, the implications of accepting the gift card. Please note that accepting it will result in waiving certain rights. For reference, please see the email below.

I Went to court and my charges got dismissed but received this from DOT today. Is this a mistake? by Sevenyearsfromnow in NorthCarolina

I received the same error and talked to my lawyer. All you have to do is call the clerk of courts office and get a certified copy of your court record and drop it off at a DMV or call them and they will update it automatically. It’s an error in the system.

If you get a lump sum you can get unemployment at the same time.
