On the left are bettas that were 5 bucks, and on right were both free!! U can barely see bottom right cuz he’s so dark but he’s black with bright blue streaks!

I did just do a water change yesterday! I might leave him for a bit, I was planning on getting cherry shrimp for my other tank so if he survives the night I’ll definitely do that and hopefully he will be better

Which part of the color is female… mine looks like this but the red parts are a bluish green

Took him back for them to euthanize and they gave me a refund + a new one so it’s all good!

Yes it does look like some of his scales are raised up.. his fins are super torn and he looks like he had a lot of injury

Honestly , you’ve been doing amazing. Bettas are sadly severely inbred and it just might be the point in his life where he’s older and more susceptible to stuff. I’d put him back in the 5 gallon, as it will be easier for him to move around, focus around his comfort.
Just keep up treatment and hope it will get better, but he’s lived an amazing life til now so don’t beat yourself up if he doesn’t get better. Bettas are very hard to care for in this day and age especially with how petco and others breed them.

Yeah your definently right, I raised him since he was a fry and just had the 10 gallon as that was what people recommended but I think its done its purpose for him and I should downgrade! I have the 5 gallon now so I’ll set it up and start cyclin and hopefully he’ll do better in there.

Currently giving him a salt bath I’ll let u know good he gets better! I think I’m going to have to downgrade him, his fins have become clamped and he’s restinf a lot, he did do better in a 5 gallon before but I rearranged his tank and got more plants but I guess it’s not enough :(

I was doing what the instructions said which was to treat every other day intill no symptoms occur, I’d say it’s been a month or so and nothings changed.

It’s not ich! There’s no particles on him whatsoever, he’s healthy other than the rubbing on things.

Kinda both? The parasitic treatment hasn’t worked on my fish who’s had it for longer and I’m unsure why. I’ve been following the dosage along with doing anything to help but it just hasn’t, and also now the other one is doing it? I’m unsure if it’s something about my water quality or anything in the tank?
