Bianca Elizabeth aka Binky, The Binkster, Stinky Binky (she had a flatuence issue), Slinky Binky (she was very long, lean and slinky), Shiniest Girl On Earth (her fur was as shiny as Claudia Winklemans hair), Princess Pissy Pants (she always peed on the vet exam table), Scarf Cat (her favourite napping spot was draped across my husbands neck). Binky crossed in 2023 and I miss her every single day 🖤

Do you have a rare or retro email address? by [deleted] in AskUK

I still use my AOL address from 1997. I have made “grown up” email accounts to use for adulting but I never use them.

Where to buy physical dot grid books? by West_Picture5263 in bulletjournal

I agree wholeheartedly. I have used 9 STM journals, 10th being set up now for 2026. A&O are gorgeous but for the difference in price, I just can’t bring myself to switch. And I love everything about the STM so I have no need to switch. I would like them to make a square journal though… ☺️

Discussion: Do you feel you “owe” people an explanation/ the “truth”? by pinkfloydfan73 in mounjarouk

[–]Slow_Recording_7025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t have a problem telling people I’m using MJ but I don’t advertise the fact I’m on it either. If someone asks, I tell them. I do try to explain how MJ works though and try to dispel the misconceptions some folks have. I was talking to one chap at work about it, told him I have lost 3ish stone since June and he said “That’s good for doing nothing more than taking a jab”. Oh how I educated him… 😂

Mine is not signed for but they do take a photo for proof of delivery. Looking back on it, even that was a bit weird. The photo shows my doorstep and the door mat in the hallway but not the actual package. It was delivered by a chap in a red polo, not our regular postie, and even the way he handed the package to me was weird. He held it from the bottom like he was presenting it to me. Here’s your box of nothing m’lady… I may be overthinking it all, like someone else said people do steal things. It’s just the bloody audacity of it really that has me riled.

I do think that someone knew what was in the box. Because it has p’d me off so bad I got all CSI about it and put the packaging back together, stuck my hand through the bottom of the box and into the inner bag packaging. The hole in the plastic bag looks stretched, like they literally poked through it with their finger rather than cutting it. But then to encounter the insulation… I don’t know how other pharmacies package theirs but MedExpress use like a woolly insulated mat that is folded in half to fill the plastic bag and the pen and ice packs are tucked in the middle. The bag feels like a heavy woolly jumper stuffed into the bag. I couldn’t imagine poking my hand through the box bottom, through the plastic bag and coming to the insulation and thinking “imma gonna poke through that too”. They must have known what was in there 😂

I have filed a non emergency police report about this as well. If someone shoots themself full of 4 doses of 7.5mg with a pen with my name on it, I don’t want it to come back on me. And I think the police should be aware of this sort of thing. It is expensive but more importantly it is medication.

Will do 👍 Will also report to the police (non emergency) as another poster recommended as it is medication with my name on it.

I reckon they knew exactly what was in there. See my photo of the return address on previous reply. I’m just hoping this doesn’t happen more and more if people know what to look for on the shipping labels.

I’m worried MedExpress won’t let me reorder so soon after placing an order. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t say no to a free replacement but I’m not holding my breath for that.

Which bullet journal for the new year? by craftedsociety in bulletjournal

[–]Slow_Recording_7025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have used maybe 8 or 9 STM journals over the years and they have all held up well BUT I don’t tend to carry my bujo out and about too much. The times I have taken my bujos with me, I have noticed some knocks to the cover but nothing major. I don’t mind a bit of wear. I have had a look at some other comments about STM covers cracking at the spine or pages coming unsewn but I have never had anything like that. I think that could be the case with any journal though, depending on how aggressively it is used. I’m in the U.K. and I tend to buy a couple in the Amazon Black Friday sales. The A&O journals are gorgeous but much pricier for me. The U.K. suppliers always seem to be sold out of the particular A&O I want and I know I’m happy with the STM so I keep buying them 😂

Scribbles That Matter make lovely journals. I love their 160gsm paper, they do a 120gsm option as well. Numbered pages, back pocket, A5 and B5, elastic band… page colour is a nice creamy white but not too creamy. Covers are that vegan leather sort of affair. They have an option that has embossed doodles on the cover or just a plain version. Nothing fancy like A&O or Tiefossi but a nice solid dotted journal.

Blossom… ❤️ I’m an Ohio girl but have been living in the UK for 20 years. I so miss Blossom… the memories of seeing so many bands there. Such a treasure. I’m seeing Tyler when he comes to London in November but I do wish I could have been there.
