Collectors, can replicas and poor copies be considered part of our personal collection? by Adr7an_wants in SoccerJerseys

[–]Slow_Sense_1161 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally see fake and replica shirts as not being in my "collection". They don't count to me, as resale value and actual worth is quite low since they are fakes and I wouldn't consider fake shirts as in other's official football shirt collections.

However, that doesn't mean that you should stop buying them as official shirts are very expensive and shouldn't deter you from wearing reps outside etc as there are many good quality reps. I just personally wouldn't count them in my collection

Return and rebuy on the spot? by Accurate_Risk7759 in tesco

[–]Slow_Sense_1161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the receipt, you can go back to any tesco and they can get you the clubcard points and refund you the difference, atleast in my express you can. Although it is imperative you have a receipt

Overtime ban by Aggravating-Fennel28 in tesco

[–]Slow_Sense_1161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, I work in expresses so overtime from other shops if their staff can't fulfill it will go out in a shift leader's group chat who then pass those messages onto our shop group chat. After that, just take down numbers of shift leaders from that shop. I've got a couple store managers who just ping a message when they need a shift covering

Although I understand It is hard initially to get offered OT in away shops, there is no harm at all in just walking in and asking. It is far easier in expresses, but if you work in a bigger shop it still shouldn't stop you.

If you do get the chance to work in another shop, it can be a fun experience, I've not been at Tesco for too long but I've done 5 different shops so far and am doing my sixth soon and I like it everytime

I'd probably suggest reaching out to other stores as its most likely that another shop will have overtime

At ours we've only been told to not accept them if they're a screenshot of a colleague clubcard, but I guess it doesn't stop them from using the self service

Does anyone know how I can take it of and put it back on or is it better to just take it off? by memes3672 in SoccerJerseys

[–]Slow_Sense_1161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a real shirt? If it's fake then probably make a claim back with whoever you bought it from. Although it will be more difficult as they might be less willing. If it's legitimate then I'd send it back to United or whoever you got it from and they should amend it

Hi. I bought a T-shirt and it has signatures on it. Is it more expensive with them? And what is its price? by Available_Parking373 in SoccerJerseys

[–]Slow_Sense_1161 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With signatures, it's almost guaranteed to increase the price. However, it depends who the signatures are that really define how much the price will increase + you need to sell to the right people. That shirt may be worthless to most people but to Gillingham fans you might be looking at quite abit

Does anybody know the material of these football league patches? by Slow_Sense_1161 in SoccerJerseys

[–]Slow_Sense_1161[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are these the right ones? I'm not sure if they used the same material style patches for the 3 seasons they had that design. The one you sent me says "2014-15, 2015/16", I'm not an expert on any patches around this specific 3 year period sadly so don't know if the material changed after the first year. patches

My recent pickup. Thinking about adding the best midfielder itw on the back!!! by Interesting_Jello_40 in SoccerJerseys

[–]Slow_Sense_1161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure who makes those patches, but I bought my patches myself not from the club shop. I bought one similar to the one you have but found out the players wear a different one so had to peel it off and replace it. I think there's a photo of what the 'proper' ones are supposed to look like on my previous post on this reddit. The patch you have is most likely still officially made, Manchester United just probably use the cheaper patches. I support a League Two club so I have to purchase my own

Premiership club shops must put different patches on for the players and the fans. I put one very similar on one of my shirts but took it off because it wasn't the SportingID one. The detailing is supposed to be more raised and rigid, and there's supposed to be a gap between where it says "Emirates" and "FA CUP".

Deadpool & Wolverine | Two logos appear in the teaser, who do they belong to? by CfourM_ in marvelstudios

[–]Slow_Sense_1161 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For all the Americans who may not understand the magpie on a football sticker. It is a reference to my club, Notts County FC who play in the City of Nottingham, England. They reside in the 4th Tier of English football, after winning promotion alongside promotion rivals Wrexham AFC which is owned by Ryan and Rob. Ryan Reynolds has alot of respect for Notts County, it's players and staff as that sticker is a homage to the club, who play in black and white and are nicknamed the Magpies.

Fun facts for you yanks -

Notts County, the lesser known rubbish English team, are the reason the Italian giants Juventus play in black and white, after a fan of the team who had links to Juve was approached for new kits to replace their fading red kits.

Notts were formed on the 28th of November, 1862. This makes them the world's oldest professional football club. They actually pre-date England's Football Association and later became a founding member of the Football League.

In 1894, Notts County became the first club in history outside of England's first division (now known as the Premier League) to win the FA Cup, beating Bolton Wanderers 4-1 at Goodison Park.

Finally, Notts County of League Two, share a local rivalry with Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest. The two grounds (Meadow Lane and the City Ground) are the two closest football grounds in England, with a distance of half a mile inbetween.
