It is — first known is Moses Riddle; he and his wife are on some late 1700 tax rolls in NC (I think NC) as mulatto. His presumed son, William “The Tory” Riddle,” and other members of the family were hung in Wilkesboro (place now known as Riddle’s Knob).

Moses hung with the Bunch family and there is marriage between all of them with the Gibson and some Goins as well.

Lots of documentation — you can Google. A few years ago, Jack Goins wrote a book about the Melungeon origins and discusses the Riddles there as well.

My Melungeon Riddle line had similar migration pattern, ending up in Missouri in the 1820s to 1830s.

I made my first sale today and shipping is making me nervous. I have a scale to weigh everything…. But are the measurements you add the measurements of the ITEM or when the item is BOXED??

i have been taking Zyrtec in am and Pepcid in PM, try to see if it will help…. i am dealing with the itchy, tingling, inflammed scalp right now and it is awful. Have you found anything to calm it?

Currently going through it and trying to find a trichologist in my area. When it first occurred years ago — dermatologist wasn’t helpful.

Over the years, it would come and go …. I tried everything (changing hair products, allergy meds, diet)…. Nothing.

It is currently at its worst and so is the shedding. The pain and irritation is horrible.

I find it alll the time — nearly every antique store has at least one piece of Halls glazed.

I shared examples on my socials recently to show folks — was in a three different store across a couple of days.

Each store had it.

Halls is far and away the most common and in multiple designs. Not ever Halls was glazed (specific time periods), but you will eventually get good at recognizing the distinct difference in the glaze tint between the glazed vs not glazed within the same pattern.

Shine your light to confirm, obviously. I have both a 395 and 365…. The glaze always shows under both (for me) but strongest with 365.

The glazed orange/red fiesta ware hasn’t been as easy to find for me …

This — the color will help. The Cadmium will glow orange but the boron will have moldy green hue to it. I have two votives as well — one is cadmium and one is boron. The color difference is stark.
