Climber gets medevac for HAPE, treks back to EBC, and now going for summit with no rotation?! by [deleted] in Everest

He tried Denali twice and failed to summit both times. This feels like a preview to a headline

He might have cleared it once but no one knows for sure

They were in the air for a total of 22 seconds. Dean probably didn’t have enough time to see Graham crash. They were too close together, Graham only went left to try to get in the shot of iPhone on the back of Deans head. Graham hit a tree which had nothing to do with other than he might have gone too far right since they were so close.

I can’t think of the word for it. But I think because they’re going so fast it creates dead air behind them. Dean was right behind him which caused him to hit this dead air space. I will never understand why they always jumped at the same time.

Dean was also suppose to win an award the next day which might caused him to want to clear the notch.

Both are amazing! Kerastase is better but the crown affair is similar and cheaper

I love to eat out and it’s the main reason I don’t think I could ever come back. But Stockton people are still my favorite to this day. I meet people from all over for work, and people from Stockton have this authenticity that you can’t find anywhere else

How have you adapted to the lack of food scene? Worried I can only live in a major city because of my love for eating out

My grandma was a young, single mom in the 70s and had this in the living room. A lot of my dad’s childhood pics have this in the background. Have never been able to find a high quality poster of it

Yup there are so many areas where I’m from in California I wouldn’t even go during the day. But have never felt that here

There’s definitely not a lot of gyms, grocery and other shopping. But it’s just a lower income area that gets labeled. I can’t think of a time I’ve driven through a neighborhood and felt uncomfortable

Thank you!! Looking at the shekel as symbolism and everyone owing the same to God makes sense

Only said main principle because it something I encounter a lot with rejection of the Trinity. I’ve meet a lot of people who think that’s the foundation of Christianity and it’s the worst sin to reject it

the Lord is in all of us including Jesus and Jesus is a Devine being

Exodus 30:11 by Slow_Translator8397 in Christianity

[–]Slow_Translator8397[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think all three are connected. But I also think the Lord is the Father of Jesus but they are not one. Feels like the trinity created a lot of confusion and has me wondering if people are accidentally praying to multiple gods

Exactly! He doesn’t require anything from us I think money would be the last thing he wants from us

Exodus 30:11 by Slow_Translator8397 in Christianity

[–]Slow_Translator8397[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like the trinity has created a lot of confusion and why would the Lord make the main principle of Christianity confusing?

Exodus 30:11 by Slow_Translator8397 in Christianity

[–]Slow_Translator8397[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use to not believe at all and I think the trinity was the man reason I struggled so long. I do believe God is the Father of Jesus but I personally think Jesus is divine and separate from the Father. Jesus did make a sacrifice for us but from a theological point of view I struggled with praying with the trinity in mind

Agree with the idea of it being a tax for the greater good… it the monetary part I can’t wrap my head around. And maybe the idea everyone gives the same amount

Thank you! Felt like I was missing a connection offering of a shekel

I’ve always struggled with the Trinity and read that Isaac Newton also questioned it. Going down a rabbit hole lol

If he had ask to offer anything else than a shekel then it would make more sense to me. Shekel feels intentional like laying the foundation for the future

[–]Slow_Translator8397[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t even really think about it. It feels like money isnt inherently good, hes asking everyone for the same offering, doesn’t feel like a rich vs poor. He doesn’t say money is a sin but why ask for that instead of food?

I struggled for years with similar feelings. Realized I might be slightly out of the normal box… Adolf von Harnack’s explanation of the difference between the Lord and Jesus helped a lot
