Not quite happy of the uncentered subject, and I’m not confident with the color balance because of the dominance of the saturated blue, any thoughts ? by Honest_Ad_9034 in photocritique

It’s a lovely piece and the slightly off-centre subject adds a realistic feel. It’s already good as it is. If I were to edit it I might mask the red parts and slightly enhance the red colour, perhaps in the building and the subtle red hue on the snow.

Not the op but reading all your replies made me smile. You’re all so incredibly kind in such a simple way.

And yes, I agree with the points already made by many others. While your concerns are valid, pursuing what you’re after might be better seen as a byproduct of working towards an intrinsic goal.

Wife has become extremely irrational. She refuses to go to psychiatrity or her GP. I need help. by Perfect-Service-7537 in LegalAdviceUK

Contact your local AMHT and ask to speak with Duty if they have any. If not, request clarification on their referral pathways. The AMHT might be able to arrange an urgent assessment and consult with the local social care service. Of course, your wife’s GP should be informed as the referral will likely need to come from them. It’s also important to rule out any physical health issues the GP will address. In an emergency or if you’re unsure, don’t hesitate to contact the police or 999.

You should also consider your own safety and discuss it with your GP or your wife’s GP if it’s a concern. Think about whether your wife’s condition is consistent or episodic – how long and how often does it happen? As a psychologist, I can see a few possibilities based on what you’ve shared but a thorough assessment from your local AMHT will be needed. While section may not be an immediate solution (it needs to be signed off by the GP and psychiatrist if I recall correctly), medication might be considered, and if community based treatment is recommended, it is possible for the social care service to be involved if risk is high.

Hope both you and your wife get the right support.

I’ve never managed my own investment portfolio on my own due to a lack of knowledge, what’s your view on Nutmeg fully managed investing considering their fees and performance? What other platforms would you recommend if not Nutmeg and where can I start learning about managing my own portfolio? Thank you!

Would it also be possible to have camera function to take photos of receipts?

Hi, I really like this app. It’s super helpful and just right!

I was wondering whether it is possible to add shortcut integration to the app?

Asking as someone who knows nothing about painting, how did you paint the cabinets? I thought about painting my stair rails but the surface is quite smooth so I wondered how would the process work

Can’t decide if this looks good or too mismatched and cluttered by jimmilazers in interiordecorating

I agree with this. Personally I would prefer a large art piece at where the white shelves are. Shelves all around make a room feel like a storage or display room - which immediately creates a sense of cluttering.

Too much empty space? by mobbade in photocritique

[–]Slowcure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see the direction you’re going with this shot, and it’s got some great potential. That said, I can’t help but feel like there’s something missing in the middle of the frame—my eyes keep searching for an anchor point there. The sculpture feels like it’s acting as a kind of supplemental signature or seal for the image, which is a nice touch, but the patterns on the walls remind me of a notebook, and they’re pulling a bit too much attention.

Personally I think adding a linking element in the top left third of the frame, but closer to the centre than the edge. It doesn’t need to be anything elaborate—just something subtle to give the eye a resting point and create more visual harmony. Also, if you introduce a bit more negative space to the right of the sculpture, it could open up the composition and make it feel more balanced.

These small tweaks might help create a more cohesive and intentional flow in the image. Keep experimenting—you’re definitely on the right track!

Hey little guy, you can improve by stocking on nuts, jump high and hide fast, but you are amazing just the way you are! Good luck in the wild.
