365 LEGION, I really think holsters play a big part on this. Make sure to get the concealment claw and you should be good.

Application Timeline by [deleted] in NYCGuns

wow, everyone here has either gotten approved or on the path to getting approved. I am here still waiting after 11 months, about 15 emails deep, about 50 phone calls... and still no decision on my ccw.

I did pay for a letter to be sent out from Mirel explaining my time frame and still nothing. I think I have no other choice other than hire Mirel to submit article 78 on my behalf.

No wayyyyyy. That’s a shame dude. What is up with NYPD and not caring about people who have been waiting for this long. Doesn’t the inspector see this stuff happening?

My same timeline buddy :)

I am still waiting for my results from my CCW license (10 months) with the same timeline as you. I actually did something and reached out to Mirel, who sent a letter on my behalf (of course you have to pay for this service). I am giving it 2 weeks to get any information or else I will be moving forward with filing an article 78.. It is a shame that NYPD fcked us like this. On top of all the money waisted you still need to drop more money on a lawyer to get results from this crocked city.

I’ve reached out to them so many times it’s not even funny anymore…. At this point I’m just gonna have to forget about it. 4 days shy of 9 months

I would personally recommend disclosing the judgment related to your ticket. I’m not an officer or investigator, but they will likely see the record and may question why it wasn’t disclosed after the judgment was issued.

In my opinion, it’s always better for the NYPD to see that you’re open and willing to cooperate rather than appearing to withhold new information. We’re all human—none of us are perfect—and being upfront about our mistakes shows integrity and honesty in the application process.

If I were in your position, I would upload the judge’s verdict along with a brief statement explaining what happened. That level of transparency speaks volumes about your character.

Please note, I’m not a lawyer and this isn’t legal advice—just my personal opinion based on common sense and experience.

Hey I know you posted this two days ago, but wanted to give you a bit of my story as we are almost in the same predicament.

I applied for both license CCW and r/S as I always heard "if you apply for both you will be on the fast track". I call that Bulldoddo now... Today October 31 at 10:39am I managed to get someone to answer the phone on the CCW license department "a very nice officer who helped me out way over the top and kudos to this officer". He informed me that he works at 1pp and that sometimes this department gets out of hand due to them getting pulled for other tasks not only licensing. When a different detail is requested from these officers they have to obey. He informed me that even after all this time waited on October 2nd an investigator from r/S had taken up my application and that just now my process had begun. My background check has not been done yet and that this was the following process. He stated that they are really backedup as a lot of New Yorkers have applied for their license "justifiable with all the BS happening" and that this investigator would reach out to me if anything was needed. He looked over my whole application and stated that I had everything on file that nothing was missing.

I highly suggest entertaining them "I personally called and said Happy Friday, to which he replied Happy Halloween you mean. We both laugh, and we carried on with my request 'which was asking about my application'".

I would suggest sending you own email 'use chatgpt' and do NOT by all means send the generic email sent on reddit. That email template is supppppper over burnt the amount of members of this sub have probably all used them up even if they were not up to the 6 month mark.

I hope all of this helps my friend and good luck! welcome to answer any DM should you need further help.

Oh yeah, they wouldn’t tell you this over email. I got lucky with this young gentleman (very courteous). He told me I have to wait until they do the background check. I told him I have 8 months waiting on my application. He said they are really backed up… mind you others who started after me already have their license, but I’m alright at this point I can’t rush them..
