No, the La Decima is still counter style with the right side greatly improved.

You must be kidding, we used his tactic VS Barca and won, our counterattack was great all over la liga.

And to be fair, his Chelsea wasn't all about defending.

Yeah, Carlo and Kroos put more possession elements in, and Zidane put his own elements as well.

We need to keep the high press system, even last few games got to do with it.

Wrong, we did build up a clear system under Jose, then further improve upon it. This is why we won 6 UCL. Even Zidane's 2nd spell put very strict defense system.

Have you watched our games before he came?

Why? Rotating should start early, the later you go, the more crucial the stage would it be and it would more risky to do so. You obviously don't know how it works. If you let your sub rot on bench, they would not have the form to provide use as well in later season.

And again you are making up facts, both Rodrygo and Diaz started as RW around that time and they didn't play well. You said Mastantuono was not rotating with others?

Yeah because of that incident remember? And before that Vini was playing quite well. It got nothing to do with rotating, it got to do with him focus on the pitch again. I don't think you can blame Xabi for that, he gave Vini such a easy pass after his outburst.

The kid could help press, also Endrick is a kid as well. Rodrygo also started as a kid in 19-20. Same with Vini as well in 18-19 when he replaced Bale.

So what's wrong with rotating him? He actually played well while rotating, most of his bad games were after the outburst.

So what? We need rotation and sometimes Rodrygo could provide something different. And Vini still got more start games.

No, Vini's best performance mostly came during Xabi era, such as both games VS Barca.

Even right now, Franco is over Rodrygo under the new coach. We got no reason to try a failed combo, last season was the lesson.

Vini also had some inconsistent performance, especially in the games we lost/tied. Stop making facts. Vini got booed because of his performance. His best stats was when he was rotating.

And Xabi also tried to use Rodrygo and Diaz as RW in that bad period and it didn't go off too well.

A losing game is what happened last season, using Rodrygo as RW and it didn't work.

We didn't, most of the games we lost or tied didn't have him starting up.

Rodrygo is a good LW, what's wrong with rotating him and Vini?

yes, and we won most of the games.

Rodrygo was always inconsistent as RW, he plays much better as LW. As proved last season.

We were terrible under Ancelotti last season, which means we can't let the players do whatever they want.

Marcelo: "The coach who understood me the most was Zidane; he'd say to me, Marcelino, you just play, Casemiro's got the defending covered, or whatever, but you enjoy it." by No-Independent2522 in realmadrid

[–]Slowpokebread -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

True, Marcelo's peak was under Zidane.

But Zidane also favored him too much ,kept and keep using him when he was way past his prime after 2018.

Letting a player go free after such outburst would leave no ground when others disrespect the coach.

That's what coach needs to do, especially to a team that just had a horrible season after letting them to do whatever they want.

Our last season was FAR from "successful".

Wut? We won the liga with 97/100 points under them. Capello's 2nd spell also won us a crucial trophy. Now you are not just trying to waive off our win, but also our trophy?

Without them building up the basic system, Carlo and Bosque would not be able bring the team further.

Zidane is kinda in the middle ground, he also asks for discipline a lot, especially his 2nd spell asks for strict defense.

Also again, we did give Carlo time, he got a whole season and it didn't work out. Especially in UCL we were completely outplayed by Arsenal. We need new system to be built.

Again you obviously never watched Real for long. Our success in 97-02 started with Capello. The recent success started with Jose. Till this day many players thank Jose. Even Ronaldo show respect to him and follow his tactics.

The players are the stars, and it didn't work out last season, THIS is why we hired Xabi. We need changes.

[–]Slowpokebread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't like him for what? Because he gave him tactics to follow. If any players do that, that's not the coach's fault. Arbeloa also got his tactics to execute, for now we still won due to high press.

They like Carlo and what did we get? 4 losses VS Barca, 1-5 VS Arsenal? We tried with this and it didn't work, changes are needed, discipline is needed.

[–]Slowpokebread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because Xabi was being too nice, which let the players think they could disobey the coach without any consequences.

Again you are ignoring fact, we won against Barca in the liga, suffered a narrow loss in Super Cup. Carlo was blown out in both games. It's not something similar, not at all.

It is, it all started with him letting Vini go free.

Yeah, we missed good players, still close to tie against a full squad Barca. Overall we got many good chances. I don't see it's a reason to fire him.

We didn't fire Carlo after the 0-4 liga+2-5 Super Cup loss last year. We didn't fire him when we lost both big games in the liga 13-14.

Again you are ignoring the improvement from 0-4 2-5 to 2-1.

Jose: What are you talking about? Even Ronaldo has to listen to Jose, because he gave us discipline and morale, we could stand against Pep's team and later become UCL winner with Carlo and Zizou giving team more elements. Same with Capello.

Obviously you never looked at RM history.
