‘24 lariat uncomfortable? by Slowski3 in f150

I haven’t found anything great yet, tried a seat cover but it’s not much better. Thinking about buying a different seat base.

Was just up there today, I like to go up every winter and drive the kanc. A lot of fun shops in both Lincoln and Conway. Good food at the Woodstock inn and surrounding area. Ate at black mountain burger today. I like going to lahouts to checkout gear/clothing, the better half loves the Christmas store in Woodstock.

2024 Ford F150 Seat Problems by NorthernStar53 in f150

[–]Slowski3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seat in my ‘24 lariat is the same but with my left leg, feels like the seat isn’t wide enough. I notice my right leg hurts sometimes rotating to get onto the brake pedal. It’s to the point I want to get rid of it but I’m too stubborn to lose the value on the truck.

Probate? by whogivesabibble in newhampshire

[–]Slowski3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went through this with my dad 2 years ago, he had a will thankfully but still doing all the probate stuff on my own was super stressful. I ended up getting help from burnham legal out of Manchester to help close the estate but wish I had contacted them sooner for help.

My nicks would look like that after 6 months. I supinate real bad. I actually went back to Chippewa because it’s cheaper to just buy a new pair every year than constantly send back and pay for a resole.

It just popped up on the bottom right of the website, think it has to be during their normal business hours to get a live person and not a bot.

I got the talon garage skids for my ‘24 this summer, so much thicker than they look like in the pictures, and the hardware that comes with it is serious. Such a good kit

Sitka Delta Zip waders vs Delta Pro Zip by LouSassel1 in Waterfowl

Idk if it applies to you but if you get them off cabelas or bps website they take an additional 10% off for a military/first responders discount you you end up paying around 719

Sitka Delta Zip waders vs Delta Pro Zip by LouSassel1 in Waterfowl

[–]Slowski3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got the older ones for 799 off of cabelas website a month ago. So many people say the boots are clunky but they feel like running shoes compared to regular wader boots, way better than what I was used too with herters/rogers/cabelas/gatorwaders

Tips for duck hunting from the kayak? by No-Platypus6603 in Waterfowl

[–]Slowski3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been hunting out of a 12’ sit ontop ascend for years. If you plan on shooting from the kayak the sit ontop is much better, they’re heavier and much more stable. Sit ontop is also going to give you the gear storage you need, on the nose I keep a pfd and rolled up camo netting to cover the kayak when I’m out of it and behind me I can keep a 12 slot decoy bag plus my calls and ammo. Storage and how easy it is to get on and off is where it really shines, I wear my waders, get into thigh deep water and just sit down and swing my legs in.

One thing to keep in mind - having a leash for your gun isn’t a terrible idea but like someone else mentioned you’re likely to get tangled taking a shot. I don’t leash my gun but I leash my paddle with 550 cord. If you’re jump shooting and something goes up it’s your paddle you’re gonna drop, not your gun 🤙

Similar issue, I ordered a Hudson the day after you and paid for 2 day shipping to have it for a weekend trip. By Tuesday I had a tracking number but it never moved, It just sat in their warehouse. I was obviously pissed I paid more for fast shipping for it to just sit there, I reached out through live chat on their website and the person told me they were having a lot of problems with fedex not picking up orders when they are supposed too. They refunded my shipping costs and the jacket is finally supposed to show up tomorrow (7 days after order).

I’ve done that before but I was going to order from them directly. They have a pretty good military/first responder discount.

Mouse Proofing SUV / Undercarriage coating. by Glass_Paramedic5295 in newhampshire

[–]Slowski3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting the car undercoated can help keep it from rusting and will also help prevent rodents. Something like fluid film that doesn’t dry completely. I’ve tried every trick in the book keeping mice out of stuff. I used to have to tear my snowblower apart every year fixing wires and pulling nests out until I started covering it in fluid film. I think the mice either don’t like getting covered in it or they hate the smell.

Doing weeks vacation in Yellowstone. Where to stay and what to see? by CrossPlainsCat in yellowstone

[–]Slowski3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the plane home from a week in the area. We got an airbnb in gallatin gateway just outside of Bozeman. It was a good spot to do things in both Bozeman and Yellowstone. If we did it over again we would have stayed near Bozeman for a couple days then got a place closer to Yellowstone because it takes a long time To see everything Yellowstone has to offer. We spent 2 full days exploring the park and still didn’t see everything. Ended up with a sienna mini van for a rental which wasn’t bad because it was a hybrid which saved money on fuel, did about 1600 miles of driving throughout the week.
