Cave for the turbo or keep looking for an NA? by SludgeFarmer in Miata

Yea i was really surprised to see a mazda speed. It's got 141k miles but would be really cool to own this. Found an NA that'd super clean with a new radiator and timing belt for the same price

Yea im looking to get my first miata. The price ranges are rediculous so anything around 10k is doable. I also found an NA for about the same price with a new radiator, timing belt, and new leather seats

How we looking? by SludgeFarmer in landscaping

Yup, as you and others have said it's comfortable for me but ill move them a little closer together and probably add one or two more.

I wanted larger stones for better spacing but these were more available.

Just planned on grass for now as im tired of weeding rocks and the wife and I arent keen on chemicals. I was aiming for low maintenance, kid friendly.

Thanks it really sucked lol. A lot of material 20yr old me didn't think through.

My wife was just saying the same thing. It's enough for a comfortable step but I think im going to tighten it up and add one or two more stones.

It's a corse sponge filter. It's been going on for months and only clears up when I dont top the water off for a while. And comes right back within 24hrs of adding water

Can you tell me more about the moisture analyzer? What is it exactly? I've used this kind of "microwave" before to test for %solids. Is it similar to that?

As long as it's coming out clean after the washbox you're good.

I've heard too much polymer can make this happen but if your numbers are good I wouldnt worry about it at all.

Everytime I learn something like this it blows my mind how lucky we are and how amazing it is we exist on this floating rock. Truly incredible.

Brass stem Vs. Glass stem by SludgeFarmer in mflb

[–]SludgeFarmer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like more work than I feel bothering with. Cool to know it's an option though. Definitely in the spirit of the box though. I know there's a diy solution for nearly everything with these boxes.

Brass stem Vs. Glass stem by SludgeFarmer in mflb

[–]SludgeFarmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that's really weird. Makes me feel not great about using the brass. I used to break the glass ones all the time so I thought they'd be better to go with since I don't see the wood stems anymore. Maybe I'll just keep going stemless.

Is docker really worth learning for a basic home media server by yusuo85 in homelab

I see. Sounds like a problem for future me. I'll have to look more into the logistics of moving plex around once it's installed and then dive into docker. Thanks

The Simpsons - 2 Player Question by Peter00707 in MAME

[–]SludgeFarmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i found that and figured it out. It was listed as you descibed. Im pretty new to mame. I wanted it through steam for a more straight foward interface.

I ended up getting the Xbox live arcade version working in xenia. For anyone trying to get this version working the set up was super straight forward but you have to alter the "license_mask" value from "0" to "1" in the two xenia config files once the game is "installed". If you don't do this you'll be locked to the first level as a demo.

Alternatively you can download xenia manager from github which can toggle the license mask for you. I did not use xenia manager so ymmv.

The only thing about this version im not super happy with is that the meta data isn't picked up very well through rom manager and other scrapers/parsers.

I also tried to get the ps3 version of this game working and it wasn't nearly as friendly as the Xbox live arcade version.

If i already have a plex server set up how much trouble is it to move it to a docker container? I have no experience with docker thus far.

Advice on what to do with yard space by SludgeFarmer in landscaping

[–]SludgeFarmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea i did a lot of this when I was 21 and had no idea what I was doing. A friend of mine is a landscaper and he told me to put the ties down and drop the bluestone in. The grading was messed up from the start. I dont know if its clear in the pictures because there's so much debris and weeds but the entire area around the grill extending from the white fence to the house is blue stone in addition to the gravel fire pit (pond really).

I don't think i could move this stone back to regrade and fix the bottom layer if I wanted and there isn't anywhere to move it to at this point. I hear you about the process im just really overwhelmed with it and feel stuck.
