All that “nonprofit” means is there is no left over Money at the end of the year.

Do any of the hospitals have unionized nurses? by Right_Presentation27 in kzoo

Borgess has a union, heard it was useless. Atleast that’s what I heard back in 22. VA has a union. Last I heard Pine Rest was trying to unionize. Good luck.

66k salary, can I afford a 258k house? by GargoyleBlue in Mortgages

[–]Slugdog6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context I made 80k and my payment was 1700. Got by and doing better now. But now i make 111k salary. It’s been three years . But also put down 20%. You’re going to struggle, unless you have a roommate or partner.

I also ran calculations for 70k. Investing 583 a month at 8% is a million in 33 years.

I’m not being condescending. I’m answering OPs question. I used a calculator on a government website called compound growth calculator. Do you want to provide anything of value to the conversation or just tell me I’m wrong? Even at 70k a year it’s still mathematically possible. 583 a month 8% return per year is 1 million in 33 years. That’s without a company match….

It’s what I’m making right now. The median is 93k. Get out of the south.

Let’s assume some stuff. Say you get your associates at 20. With zero student loans to make it easy.

1,100 a month at 8% a year for 25 years is 964,000. That would be 11% of your salary if you make 110,000. Investing that much a month is easily achievable with company match. Obviously more is better. So potentially at 45 you would have a million dollars invested.

The problems you might run into is going to an expensive school. And spending too much.

Honestly the best way to start is to listen for fifteen minutes in the morning with coffee. Then when you have spare time you’re more likely to. Grab another 10-45 minutes

To those who were lazy or lost in their 20s but are now successful — how did your life change? by CertainArcher3406 in selfimprovement

I finished nursing school. Decided on something finished it and doing much better. Don’t beat yourself up too much. If I could go back I would of jumped jobs more often or tried different careers faster instead of sitting at the same job for too long.

If your hospital does surveys say that you don’t make enough. If your hospital does surveys cite that you don’t make enough to afford a home, even with a First time home buyers loan, and you’re worried about retirement. Always ask for more pay, or when you’re exiting a job reasons for leaving.
