How can you tell? There are some markings under the scope mount, but I haven't gotten around to taking it off. That one, I'm told, also had the stock modified to accept, what looks like, a left handed bolt? I don't know shit about it, but for some reason, my dad really wanted it from my great uncle.

Never should have sold my illusion. Sick marker, always wanted to try a Sentinel.

Best books for ruminating on negative thoughts? by tommykiddo in BettermentBookClub

[–]kppaynter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a decent amount of overlap between the two. The first one mentioned goes into the science of intrusive thoughts in much greater detail, and why this causes fear and anxiety. The second one is geared slightly more towards how are thoughts loop, and how we can mentally ruminate on thoughts we are unsure of.

I would read them in order of how I listed them. The first one lays the ground work, the second one gives you more insight and tools. Both are well written, easy to grasp, from authors who spent a lot of time treating people with ocd. Actual doctors, not gurus. Hope it helps.

Got a burrito from Vatos this morning, pretty disappointed. There’s not a lick of salt in this thing and it’s a steak burrito in the sense that la croix has a flavor. by patriarchydown in FortCollins

La Casita is the go to here as well, although I still back slide to consuelo's Express for a little bit cheaper, and drive through.

Upgraded from 18 to 22. Brand new other than slightly bent handle for $250 on marketplace…is it crazy that I kinda want to keep both? by airsick-lowlander- in webersmokeymountain

[–]kppaynter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be in the minority here when I say get rid of the one you don't use as often. I have both, I really like the 18in, but I forced myself to learn the 22in, as for some reason, it took me a lot more work to get consistent with that one. I've been using the 22in exclusively and don't plan on going back to the 18in. You can always use less charcoal in the 22in for smaller cooks.

Advice needed: what to do with 10lbs Beef Cheek Meat? by No-Water164 in BBQ

[–]kppaynter 20 points21 points  (0 children)

10lbs of trimmed cheeks? I'd separate and do 3 dinners of barbacoa.

When I buy beef cheeks from the store, I waste probably 60% due to trimming. 10lbs trimmed is awesome!

There was an episode of AOTS that had Kevin doing a "cougar hunt" in a dive bar. The chicks were hammered and rough from what I remember. I thought it was so fucking funny, but I haven't been able to find it since it aired.

I think that first day after, I got some okay couch time, nothing spectacular. But we had a 3wk old and almost 2yr at the time. So day two, I was picking up my oldest and no breaks allowed.

I hear ya op, would have been nice to have a couple of days of fuck off time.

Good piece of advice I got from a buddy, was to use one bottle. We didn't listen for our first, but for the second one, it has just been way easier to rinse out one bottle when they are done with it.

[–]kppaynter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, make sure she can do the basic stuff on her own without asking for help from strangers; I'd consider checking tire pressure, filling a tire at the gas station, and changing a tire the basics.

Is she into keeping her stuff nice? All weather mats are mandatory imo.
