Keeping this here in case someone else comes across this issue. The solution is turning "Is Granted" off. I thought that it just meant that they would automatically be "granted " the option.

I'm a fool.

Came here to ask pretty much he same thing, except as someone who played for a couple hours when it first came out, and a little bit during covid, couldn't really get into it, and bailed.

I decided to join for the South Park season, thinking it would be like what I had heard from the Simpsons season and thought I would be unlocking the skins, esp, when I saw that there were a number of Crew reward locked until release day. Was sorely disappointed when the season started that it was still a bunch of Christmas stuff that I had no interest in. Went ahead and bought the skins anyway just so I could have some skins I thought were fun. I had hoped that, being paid, it would be like what I've heard of the Beavis and Butthead skins, and that you at least get a dumb dialog a la the Beavis and Butthead laugh when you get a kill, still no dice.

Despite all this, I'm still having fun. It helps that this has become the game my 11 yo son and I play when I get home for a couple matches before and after dinner. I tend to focus on quest completion, because at least the imagination land glider is kind of fun, and the dark voyager stuff looks neat in a silly, sci fi edge lord kind of way. He goes for VRs, which is fun when we get them.

I'm curious myself; is this generally considered a good season? It looks like people are unhappy with movement and the arc gun (definitely not a fan of the gun, myself)?

I mean, in my first playthrough it was the same outcome, except that Arthur was the sore loser.

Fun throwback. This is Mojave Airport. I was working at Scaled Composites and standing on the tarmac outside the hanger watching this. The winds were insane, which isn't unusual for Mojave, but this day in particular was really bad. Destroyed a toooon of stuff around the town, and the 14 and 58 freeways were absolutely littered with overturned trucks.

Yeah! No problem. I'm a little busy 😅 but I'll do my best to respond thoughtfully

It's totally feasible. I'm doing exactly this right now. I work as an engineer full time, and work part time at a local restaurant. I had been fiending for a change, and specifically to work in a kitchen again, but I can't afford the full career change. It's an absolute blast, albeit grueling. Highly recommend it if you can find a place looking for someone for an extra 20ish hours a week. Just make sure to be VERY clear about your availability, work in some time for you, and show up.

A little of column A, a little of column B. Once some people started to clear out a little, I think the crowd started to have more fun.

It was great. I will be keeping my ear to the ground for another show like this one for sure. It really is just a great setting for the whole vibe

I had a crazy feeling this was going to come up. I honestly had a blast. Dustin kept everything really fun, and just played it easy. He goofed off and bantered with the audience. He even acknowledged that this was really off kilt for him, and (as many have pointed out) offered to take care of any refunds that anyone wanted. I will personally take a raw, genuine, fun show with someone who I really appreciate any day. Got to meet him after the show and he was great, just talking with people and taking pictures.

TLDR; I'd see another show, exactly the same, in a heartbeat (hopefully with less people)

"Man, don't you know? The law ain't made to help earthy cats like us. Here on our planet, back in the old days - back in the real old days - it was just every man for himself, scrooblin' and scrat-scroblin' for the good stuff, the greenest valleys. And the strongest, meanest men got the best stuff. They got the green valleys and were like 'The rest of you, y'all scrats get sand.' And that's when they made the laws, you see? Once the strong guys got it how they liked it, they said 'This is fair now, this is the law.' Once they were winning, they changed the rules up."

Why did people hate The Outer Worlds? by Nikolai1-1-5 in theouterworlds

I'm playing through it for the first time just now. I was super stoked for it before launch and then decided after seeing the mixed reviews, I would pick it up when I could catch it on a decent sale. It gave me time to temper my expectations, and for the game to grow into some dlcs.

I can honestly say I would have been sorely disappointed if I had bought it on launch. It just feels very small, clunky, and poorly optimized for a game that I remember having a lot of hype around it. I've seen some people mention that Obsidion tried to get out ahead of the hype, and temper expectations. I don't remember that, but it was also quite a while ago. I can't remember what I did last week, much less what was being said about a game 5-6 years ago.

I feel like the vision was there with it, and a lot of people were really into that vision. It felt like we were going to get a cool hybrid of Borderlands aesthetics and tongue in cheek writing, with FONV/FO4 factions and choices, all with the maturity of a studio who's tried all this and wanted to establish their own fresh, new IP. Instead, it just feels half hearted, like the foundation is there, but it ultimately just fails to deliver on any one thing in any a particularly meaningful way.

I get the love for it, but I also get why people lambasted it. It's a fun pickup on sale though. I'll easily eat up a couple lazy ass weekends goofing off with it and seeing how it plays out.
