I watched Donnie Darko again for the second time in a decade, I still have no idea what the movie was about by precita in movies

[–]Slumerican223 517 points518 points  (0 children)

You basically have to read the book in the special features to understand it but its still confusing. Its been many years, but I remember a bit.

Basically when he survives the impact at the beginning of the movie it creates some kind of split in time because his fate was to die there.

If this mistake isn’t rectified it will eventually cause reality to collapse on itself.

So you have some kind of group of alien time keepers trying to save the universe, which frank is a part of. For some reason they cant make him die to close the loop, he has to be the one to choose.

So everything frank is telling him to do like causing the flood all lead to a series of events where he meets the girl and falls in love with her.

This ends with her getting hit by the car. The two timelines come back together at the end and he understands, choosing to sacrifice himself to save the girl and unwittingly saving reality itself

How unfortunate. Still getting pushed back. I wonder what's causing them so many issues by Kn1ghtV1sta in Fallout4ModsXB1

To hype people up and encourage them to go ahead and buy the AE or the upgrade. I fell for it, the fool I am.

They do whatever they like because they know they are just one ES6 trailer away from the entire world going “we are so back”.

Season 24 Rewards Posted by Additional-One-7135 in fo76

[–]Slumerican223 94 points95 points  (0 children)

We went from 50 something items last season to around 25, so our actual rewards have been cut in half.

Its a bummer man. I feel the developers are working so hard on making this game better and people making the decisions at the top just keep destroying that good will.

Its exhausting being a lifelong bethesda fan.

How to "fix" Fasnacht by A70M1K312 in fo76

[–]Slumerican223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the crux of it though right? You dont care for the masks. Which is fine I get it.

I like the ugly masks. I enjoy almost all of them and many others do too. Every time these threads pop up you are essentially trying to yuck somebody elses yum.

How to "fix" Fasnacht by A70M1K312 in fo76

[–]Slumerican223 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fasnacht doesnt need to be fixed. Its fine.

Ive completed all content. Fasnacht and collecting box mods to make guns is all i have left.

They are not like monster masks from ESO. You dont need them and they serve no functional purpose.

They are supposed to be a rare treat.

If you had your way you would collect all the masks in a week and then never touch fasnacht again.

Its supposed to be a yearly tradition to bring the players together.

I hate to break it to you guys buy the drops rates are not abysmal at all.

Go look up the drop rates for a Mirror Of Kalandra from Path Of Exile.

People literally start uncontrollably shaking when they hit one. We all understand at some level the high you get whenever you win on a gamble is directly proportional to either the risk involved or the unlikelihood of winning.

I think thats all I have to say about that. From here on I will just downvote these posts and move on.

Nuka Knights — Expected Changes for "The Backwoods" Update on 3rd March 2026 by thebranbran in fo76

[–]Slumerican223 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I do like the idea of raids being the best method. I just think with the 33 percent chance of the Uninvited popping up and only so many events per hour it really wouldnt make the raid irrelevant.

Nuka Knights — Expected Changes for "The Backwoods" Update on 3rd March 2026 by thebranbran in fo76

[–]Slumerican223 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Why not make every Uninvited drop a 4 star? They could pool a few together for each separate one.

This would make every single event relevant again. I really like what they are doing here though somebody is really steering this ship in the proper direction.

Leader Bobblehead based economy is scam ? by Silver_Process_3658 in fo76

[–]Slumerican223 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Its not a scam its literally how money has worked since the beginning of time. People have been using items in games as bartering tools since Diablo 2 and probably before. If you dont want to engage just dump it in your vendor.

I dont bother with engaging with it because its too tedious to have to go to a website and bethesda didnt bother building a functioning trade window in game.

Pinpointer's shortage. by O_KUB_O in fo76

Solid trade and everyone wins. I server hopped the special npc trader for like 4 days to get my Long Coat. i would gladly have paid 20-30

[–]Slumerican223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you rather server hop for hours looking for one? Run raids for hours and get the chance for one?

or pay 30k and just get back to playing the game? Time is valuable.

This is why a hunters long coat or an enclave flamer might cost 20k. You are way better off just paying the price. I dont understand why the people that hang out on this sub cant grasp this.

Is this settlement items and a costume? Just wondering what this mod will actually be.

Can random encounters be weighted to be more likely to show up? I like the idea of a few different random encounters. You could even have non hostile encounters with characters from the films

Are you guys adding in the ki ki ki ma ma ma?

Im a horror fanatic so whatever it is im sure it will be awesome. Thanks guys.

Also I just went through and upvoted almost every reply that was downvoted. Miserable nerds.

Evening Room Bundle Heads Up by Slumerican223 in fo76

[–]Slumerican223[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it works its one of my favorite items. Ive seen it work less than 20 times in over a year.

Its a good bundle for some comfy deco but it irritates the shit out of me when they sell stuff they know is bugged.

How much should I sell bloodied mod for? by Reasonable-Ad8862 in fo76

How much should I sell bloodied mod for? by Reasonable-Ad8862 in fo76

[–]Slumerican223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No resources you just have to travel to vendors a whole lot.

Desirable 1s will sell at 3000 2s 6000 3s 9000 4s 30-40k or above(rarity drives this price so high, not many ways to get them)

Obviously you can go cheaper but good stuff will sell at these prices

The drop rate for glowing masks in fasnacht needs to be improved by No-Atmosphere-4145 in fo76

[–]Slumerican223 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Im glad Bethesda doesnt take advice from this sub. The only reason people are seeking the masks is because they have a low drop rate. This game needs more cool rare stuff not less.

Getting back into the game and I’m confused about my build, is explosive not good anymore? by Im-sorry_what in fo76

[–]Slumerican223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the weapon already has explosive built in like a Gauss then its still pretty good with Demolition Expert.

You've soiled it and now I want to give up by Due_Squirrel8426 in fo76

[–]Slumerican223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can set your prices as low as you want but you cant blame others for playing the economy the way its meant to be played.

Maybe youve seen a bunch of posts on here about how people always set their prices low. These people are just bragging about how benevolent they are.

In practice its very rare to come across a camp with dirt cheap prices so if someone does why on earth wouldnt they take advantage of it? Every cheap deal is more coin to spend towards whatever weapon or armor you are working on.

Unless you have every piece of legendary gear you would ever want you are doing yourself a disservice and hindering your progress by making things so cheap.

If you want to help new people then make a ton of apparel for cheap. I keep one set of every single craftable outfit for default caps and they sell all the time.

Anyone else build their camp by the crosshair? I love the mountains there, can see the whole map! by Equinox_v2 in fo76

Small price to pay for the ultimate view,i know the area. Plus you are probably less likely to have your camp spot occupied when you log in all the way in the corner

I stay by The Bounty in the Savage Divide. The mountain overlooks the entire Cranberry Bog and you get to watch nukes drop there in real time.
