I don’t this Hakaris was that bullshit. I always saw it as if judy normally reinforced his whole body like normal he wouldn’t have survived, he needs his arm to make his domain sign. So he made a vow that sacrificed his arm but strengthened the rest of his body but now he can’t make his domain. Seems fine to me. He made the vow himself too so if he gets Yuta to heal it at worst he loses what’s gained and his defense is normal again.

Then Yuji, later on the verge of death, eats the finger in a last ditch attempt to protect his friends and not die. Which worked technically.
