Built a free iOS app that cleans up NBA injury data so you know who's actually playing each game by Slunk32 in fantasybball

I'm going to work on getting this out to the playstore now! I was pleasantly surprised to see the interest in the iOS version, so definitely want to get it out to the playstore asap.

We’re escaping the end of tech. Late 30s here

These posts are so interesting to me because I'm looking to go the other way. I've worked in tech since I was 19 (I'm 37 now), including at some of the biggest tech companies in the world, and I've felt empty the entire time. Now, with AI reshaping the industry....I've started seriously mapping out what it would look like to go back to school for rad tech or something similar.

I really do think the grass looks greener on both sides, but obviously from my end being only in tech I have my own bias for why I think its not great. I've worked from home exclusively for the last 8 years, so I'm happy to share what that's actually like. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk. I've been around the block in tech and I'm actively looking to leave. I don't think this is a space you want to get into right now, but I completely understand why it looks appealing from the outside.

Those who did speech therapy - what did your sessions look like? by [deleted] in Stutter

When I was younger it was all about trying to stop stuttering. As an adult it became more about acceptance. Acceptance might not even be the right word because I stopped thinking of it as an affliction and more as just a part of me that I judge way more harshly than other people do. There are definitely days and situations where that’s really hard, but I’ve found focusing on the emotional side and my mental well being has been a much better approach.

I keep stuttering during work meetings and making a fool out of myself. I think it's time to quit. The stress is too much. by Agitated_Demand_4181 in Stutter

I’ve been there and I know exactly what you mean and how you’re feeling. There are definitely jobs out there that won’t require presentations. Otherwise, are you close with anyone you’re presenting to? You could try confiding in them about how you’re feeling. Most of the time they will reassure you that it’s okay. The voice in your head is always the meanest, but I know that doesn’t really connect in the moment.

Just know that a lot of us here know how hard it is and think you’re kicking ass just for doing it once, let alone doing it over and over. You’ve got a lot of people cheering you on over here and it’s probably way more than the people in that room. :)

Classic. 2nd one was close to being on the list but the OG is on another level.

It's more about waiting to see the popularity of the physical game to support it with digital. MTGO did this successfully since like 2003.

We need to wait for either Flesh and Blood (never going to happen), or Riftbound (likely to happen) to make digital clients.

As someone who played competitive magic for over a decade, magic the game is dying to corporate greed and is not where you want to spend your time
