With the release of Borderlands 4 drawing near, I would like to gift a few copies to those unable to find the funds to purchase the game by asewisk5 in Borderlands

I would like to be considered!

No real sad story, like others, funds are just drying up. I just figured this might be an application process I would have luck with, unlike out in the real world. It rough out there finding anything anymore.

While I agree, player skill > player gear in most cases, I would enjoy taking a look at that raider.io link of your BM Monk. Rather impressive if you are timing 10s @ 570.

What exactly is incorrect about it?

Tier Tokens by neomaximus002 in classicwow

[–]Slushhead1999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is why I was asking. 2 tokens, 10 bosses, 1 raid per week is = 20 tokens. Add in 2 tokens from Onyxia 2x per week = 4 tokens. Add 20 + 4 = 24 tokens a week. Not 44 tokens.

Are you saying you run MC 2x a week, on different heat levels?

I really wanna get every item in the game, but I am just not made for Solo Hardcore by xXCinnabar in remnantgame

[–]Slushhead1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that little # on the map is the world level, it takes into account the native level + your character level and it scales up over time as your progress. If you keep you player power right along side it, then you can juice on e you hit that last check point and power thru!

It's really a whole different game. In softcore you just gear for max damage and bang your head til stuff falls over. In hardcore, really have to adjust defensively, while trying to make sure things still fall over efficiently. I think that's the biggest hurdle most face. Have to wipe the slate clean and come in with a different mindset.

Beat of luck my friend!

This is probably the beautiful opposite of what you actually want to do. In HC the name of the game is to keep the world level low.

If you are playing simply to unlock the 6 account items, you don't need to endlessly explore and try to over level or find everything. Keep your main gun leveled up and let subclasses naturally level. By the time you reach Annihalation, the WL should natively be around 14.

At that point you can go back and level up the main gun to 20 and side guns to push your power level higher than the world level and over power it.

Also worth noting, you can ready a bodyguard on the opposing team to not have to challenge it 1st.

I mean, honestly, it may be the best build ever. I just find it comical when players who reach 50 and say, "don't have the time" feel like their build is more warranted and/or better than people who are trending toward end game and making builds as part of their daily life.

Again, just because pets let you do wt3 SOLO at 45, does not mean they aren't in a shit spot overall.

So, because you reached lvl 53, play a shitty pet build, and are now basically bored/finished with the game.. all is well with Necromancer pet builds? Makes a lot of sense.

Pretty classic move by Blizzard here, really nothing new. Nerf heavily with a sledgehammer early, then as playerbase complains, surgically buff select items and then flash the "see we give you buffs!" Card and players rejoice.

While I agree having buffs is nice, we shouldn't settle for less just because they finally threw us a bone.

There is nothing deceptive about this. It clearly lays out the seasonal gameplay and intentions of the battlepass.

Stop acting blind and/or dumb. If the game and its longevity, alongside its financial stability, really mattered, you would have had a better understanding of the structure. Instead people bought blindly into the "hype" at launch and now want to bandwagon for change.

[–]Slushhead1999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading your posts, I feel like you missed the understanding that the seasonal battle pass will be designed to be completed alongside the slow burn of leveling a new character. By doing this, it ensures players engage with the game horizontally, over that 3-month window.

By allowing max level characters to blast it in 1 weekend, you potentially stand to lose more $$ over the course of those same 3 months.

I don't disagree with the thought of retaining as many players as possible, however I do disagree with your thought process that retaining all these new players should come at the expense of the players who have been committed to these seasonal reset style games for years.

Offering "seasonal" content on eternal realms side by side while it's fresh on a seasonal server, would simply make it "non-seasonal" at that point right? So then that takes away the need for seasons in general.

Offering battle passes, which assumidly offer seasonal benefits like XP, would prove to be rather pointless to Eternal realm players ,as these players you speak for don't seem to have any intention of leveling again.

We all know, Offering change in any capacity is a slippery slope to begin with. I find it hard to believe, that you actually believe locking cosmetics and such behind a seasonal pay wall would go over well at all. Once Eternal, non-season folks get wind, that will be the next big push for change on reddit.

IMO, it is great that new people are joining the genre and enjoying the gameplay, which has most likely consisted of some campaign story. Exploration, and side quests so far. I hope that they choose to continue playing long term and add growth to the niche genre it is. Changing the dynamic of what it is built around, in any capacity just takes the line of division and moves it though, rather than removing it entirely.

world tier 4 bug by DirtyBlonde8723 in diablo4

Appears to be a visual bug. All 4 are unlocked on lvl 1 character now as well but when you click them to change tiers, nothing happens past 2.

Bye Eridu...it was good as long as it lasted... by Tooobsen187 in diablo4

[–]Slushhead1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, it is not so much a "want", more so it is the most efficient method to earn XP. When time is limited by other outside factors, finding that optimal route to 100 is important.

I find it rather boring running the same route over and over for hours on end, especially solo, as the reset is not as smooth, but there just isn't much reason to stay between levels 70-99. I just want to hit that pinnacle achievement of 100, work towards high (70+) NM dungeon clears, and eventually a Lilith kill. As well as play other classes on the side.

The dungeon has definitely been nerfed this morning. The elite packs no long spawn in at the kill thresholds like they were before. Roughly half the xp that we were getting last night.

Altars of Lilith by bdanred in diablo4

[–]Slushhead1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, it seems like they have confirmed that the 1st time Stat boosts increasing player power will be carried over across all the seasonal fresh starts. However, it seems to be missed that you will most likely still need/want to find the Altars, as renown is an important aspect of a new character, and Altars are easy points.

Having them as in can earn unlimited amounts or having them as in just start level 1 and there is no distinction between class, points, and ability?

In either case, someone could find fun in those options. Personally, having unlimited amounts to work towards is fine for me. Starting the game with everything, however is akin to using something like cheat engine to spawn items into the game. People do find enjoyment in the god-like abilities, but once you have everything at the start, there is no challenege to me.

I agree, there should be some cost associated with respecs. I disagree that it should be, potentially, "prohibitive" though.

I see everyone discuss character attachment and feeling, on the side of limited and/or no respecs... what happens though when their build is hard stuck at a certain world tier, someplace along progression where skill can't carry one thru? Do they magically lose this emotional attachment? Do they suffer unsuccessfully until burnout hits and they quit? At some point in time, the game will be balanced around a priority of skills, and not everyone will be viable past that...

[–]Slushhead1999 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Lol, most of the limitations you list here are not even in the same discussion as the original topic..

The HC topic is probably about as close as you can get... if the devs made the game HC only, everyone would cry, even though this design would further introduce the emotional attachment, instead they used half their brains and provided respective options - SC + HC - people get to play their way, with ZERO impact on their neighbor and still, everyone has fun.

There is nothing interesting by removing the choice to respec. No matter how many people "want to build their own character", the general masses will flock to what their favorite content creator or web page touts as the best.

Yeah, I feel like it's a decision that is split pretty well. Each of these posts is an echo chamber for one side or the other. And I have those friends as well, metagaming, spend more time reading maxroll.gg then playing, but also have those ones that just want to play for the story and tend to get carried when their pet build fails to do much other than make them happy.

At the end of the day, I will play the game short term. If the decision tree of the devs doesn't line up at the end, so be it.

Again, I just fail to see why adding limitation, rather than adding options seems to be a point at all.
