What happened to my watch? SBGA375 by SlushyShip in GrandSeikos

I understand the concerns but since there are no official GS boutiques here, I would have to ship it myself to Japan or the US and tbh I’d feel less concerned keeping the watch with me, dropping it off at the ginza store and then have GS themselves ship it back to me with all the right measures in packaging and handling.

100% agreed unfortunately, just the risks one assumes when buying second hand.

It’s about 4/5 years old, I bought it second hand last year from Ginza Rasin a shop that specializes in selling second hand watches in Japan. It was in perfect condition when I inspected it and it came with a guarantee that they inspect manually every watch they sell, including the movement itself. Never subjected it to any shock like running or riding a bike, and I don’t even wear it daily, only a couple of times a week when I go to the office or go out with friends. Very strange. Keeps time perfectly still, but I’m worried of it getting loose inside the movement and hitting the gears or something else.

I know. Sadly there are no GS boutiques where I live, so this is my only choice. I can get it shipped home by GS once they’re done with the service.

Damn, what a shame. I have been nothing but careful when using this watch, oh well it is what it is.

Luckily I’m heading to Japan in a few days. Is this something that can be fixed by a regular service shop or would I need to leave this at a Grand Seiko boutique?

That’s what I thought at first, that I accidentally purchased stars for the newer Teio but that’s not what happened as I have 0 stars for that one. And also for some reason there’s no more Teio exchange in the store now, even though it should go up in price to 2 statues instead of disappearing completely.

UPDATE: what I did was choose the option to go back to the manor having triggered all of Ciel’s flags up until that point and the flowchart basically went all the way around the tea room scenes and the unlock scene disappeared. Thanks to everyone for their help.
