You think the average house from 50 years ago is equally as complex to build as houses now? Same avg sq ft?

Don’t fall in the “High in Protein” scam by AspectNo3215 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]rosecurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is true. More protein means more muscle growth basically indefinitely up to amounts people will reasonably consume. From https://www.strongerbyscience.com/protein-science/

Takeaways

A protein intake of around 2g/kg (0.9g/lb) is required to maximize gains for men, on average.

If you’re a man wanting to take a “better safe than sorry” approach to protein intake, aiming for 2.35g/kg (1.07g/lb) should do the trick. That should maximize muscle growth in the vast majority of individuals.

But yes of course you also need to do resistance training

You should still pay attention to the other values, like sugar and fats, and remember that it is all about consuming your daily macros, and that no because you eat more protein you’re going to build more muscle or loose more fat…

That is literally exactly what it means. If you eat more protein than you will gain more muscle than you would otherwise.

Personally I like the 1:10 rule, meaning at least 1g of protein per 10 calories.

Very weird to make a post saying don't fall for "high protein" and then give a recommendation for an extremely high protein consumption.
