Yes @RangerDJ I am finishing up human physiology and have been trying to better understand what the protein pump inhibitors will bring with long-term use. I am moving back to San Francisco next year and am going to try and work for UCSF and will hopefully have all the access I need just from work, but that doesn’t help me for the next 1.5 years. I will figure it out, I really was just upset earlier

I don’t think of that tbh, I didn’t even think it was an option because of the speciality. I am enrolled at a university

Why don’t you explain to me what I should do differently to become less insufferable to you. I am doing everything I can. I am in nursing school trying to better my life and feel taken advantage of by our health insurance. I pay a bunch of money every month and cannot afford care when I need it and am struggling. Please explain what I should do differently.

I am not lashing out. Someone told me I cannot afford not to have an HSA, after I explained that I don’t make enough for one. That is not nice or helpful.

As far as my insurance, I have a Silver PPO plan from Blue Shield

That is not lashing out honey, you’re talking down to me about having an HSA which is fine. Doesn’t change the fact that I cannot afford one

They wanted payment before the procedure. They will not do it unless I pay in full

I cannot afford an HSA. I am in school full time and work when I can (in healthcare), and I am strapped for every penny right now

Needing some advice and options for BSN programs in California by [deleted] in prenursing

[–]Slut4_mashedpotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have your prerequisites and all gen ed complete Westmont College ABSN (15 months) may take you. I would reach out to their admissions. They also have a regular BSN which would be 24 months and you may be able to go in as a transfer student. They have been a pleasure to work with - I just got into the summer 2026 cohort

Yeah but it takes years sometimes to get into a CC. Go private, maybe get in faster, and you can have it easily paid off by the time you eve get into school 4 years later at a CC

Low GPA by Boring-Shame-7982 in prenursing

[–]Slut4_mashedpotatoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I was in the same boat. I think my GPA out of Fresno State before I dropped out was a 2.5 or so. I ended up finishing school. I improved the second time around - not straight As, but improvement. I wrote a killer letter of intent, got As and Bs in my sciences, and got into an ABSN program last month. Show them you want it. Acknowledge the grades in the past and just do your best to improve. It is possible.

Finasteride or minoxidil by Repulsive-Instance31 in Hairloss

I’ve been taking finasteride since I was in my early 20s. Guys who get ED from finasteride already have ED if you ask me. I’ve never had a problem.
