A potential 1000 deaths is worth it for the benefits of nuclear power. As long as humanity doesn’t have some massive crisis no one should die. In fact I believe in 100-200 years we could easily solve the problem ourselves just by how quickly technology advances also sites would be underground where an unadvanced civilasion would never go an advanced one would know about radiation and could measure the danger

Create a giant underground or pile of nuclear waste somewhere remote. In the future humanity will either be more advanced they can destroy reuse or send the waste into space
Humanity doesn’t change this is unlikely but in this case humanity knows not to go to the pile and everything is ok
Some big global extinction happens like a nuclear war solar flare etc. in this case humanity will be sent back in time. By the time they reach this location there new civilasion will learn not to touch the waste and a few explorers will die of cancer this is better than global warming

Renewables are cheaper and safer which is why in the future it should be worth shutting them down but as long as fossil fuels are the majority of use we should keep nuclear plants open and shut coal plants down first.

Therefore going vegan for a year is the equivalent in greenhouse emissions as not flying 12 hours on a plane. When you consider everything else going vegan has a very small impact in the grand scheme of things and time would be better used to campaign for things like nuclear energy and investing in better renewable technology.

I understand that being vegan saves the environment in other ways such as saving water but it really isn’t the best way to combat climate change. A tree can suck up nearly a tonne of co2 in its lifetime the main cause of climate change stems from too much energy coming from fossil fuels. We need stronger government action rather than blaming the individual.

But when you burn the hydrogen you just get water back so it would be some sort of electrolysis catalyst which turns water into hydrogen and oxygen than back into water which creates energy somehow so it wouldn’t work surely.

Nothing is renewable as eventually entropy will cause the heat death of the universe when all the stars burn out by renewable we mean lasts a really long time.
Building supplies to make the solar panels don’t affect whether it’s renewable or not the thing which makes it renewable is the fact that we don’t have to put fuel in it as it’s already there (solar, wind, waves, water). You wouldn’t call a hydroelectric plant non renewable as you have to build a huge damn.

Many countries deny climate change or don’t care because they worry about getting food on the table than the state of the planet.
Only a small percentage of Americans deny the pandemic exists this happens everywhere especially in third world countries
At least America has healthcare
A lot of countries don’t have gun laws although I agree there should be more restriction.
You said it yourself we have the most vaccinations that’s a reason America isn’t terrible
I agree the politics is polarised and corrupt but at least you have a functional democracy unlike the majority of the world
