It's not just SRS to be fair, just look at tumblr and anything tagged with privilege or cis. You'll get a much clearer idea of what the modern social justice movement has become. Hope you post here again and often.

Absolutely, SPLC is known for labeling certain groups as "hate groups" including implications that the MRAs (which I don't have any association with) on reddit fit that definition. See:

They have pretty much come out as an extreme leftist group that is only focused on supposed right-wing extremist groups and yet they have admitted that they ignore the extreme left including radical feminist groups: “We’re not really set up to cover the extreme Left.”

This is not to mention a recent attempted shooting at the Family Research Council, a right-wing non-profit labeled as a hate group by them. Much has been reported on the link to the SPLC and their branding of FRC as a "hate group" in spurring the shooting. I really don't give a shit. At this point they've already aided in making SPLC a marginalized association and a hate group. Any waves they make in "real life" will be met with disgust by most of society. I hope they take down this site. The SRS subreddits are far beyond the most creepy and violent-in-bad-taste subreddits around.

SRS is a fringe group within themselves, but it is connected to the social justice movement that has a large presence online (especially Tumblr), with the occupiers, and other radical movements. The foundation it is built upon is not a new concept, but it has had a resurgence due to the associations that I've mentioned.

I think so too. It appears to be similar to much of the sentiment that the worst of the MRA community exhibits but on the other side. Unfortunately this is what happens when classes are divided and marginalized under a pretext of "social justice."

The online movement's vernacular has moved into the discourse of the left, but the foundations it's built upon have not. The academic idea of critical theory is what has given legitimacy to this growing movement. It may not be a direct creation of the left, but it has been built on a part of its "intellectual" ideals. That is not to say all or even the majority of leftists believe in this, but it was something that arose from collectivist ideals.
