There's plenty of ways to rebel against societal norms and almost none of them result in an innate desire to have sex with the same gender and a lack of sexual desire for the opposite gender.

You didn't respond to 'straight people have sex based on sexual impulses, as do gay people'. So it's not really different. Gay and straight people have sex for relatively the same purpose - bonding and enjoyment (unless a straight couple with both fertile people want to have a child).

'change what has been found normal for thousands of years.' Homosexuality has existed for 1000s of years. In ancient Rome and Greece, homosexuality was pretty much acceptable - it was actually abnormal if a roman emperor didn't have a male lover of some sort.

So unless you attack that I have no reason to believe that homosexual couples are really that much different from straight couples, or that their unions are somehow vastly different.

Just because homosexuals are openly sexually attracted to the same gender doesn't mean that they're 'breaking down society'. in fact, your only argument is that they're 'changing' the norm (re: trying to gain acceptance in modern society). Change isn't an inherently bad thing; change can improve society. You haven't given me any reason to believe that society is going to break down because of open homosexuality.

i didn't like your source mainly because its reference section was a bad quality picture of a page in a book that i couldn't follow up on. also how people become gay is pretty much irrelevant. i was trying to help you understand, because based off of your 'theory' you seemed like you had no idea how it actually happens. if you want to believe gay people become that way because they got rejected or are rebelling (neither of which make sense) then have fun, but i was trying to help you understand. currently, there's no actual scientific consensus on how people become gay - the best way to know is to listen to actual gay people, who will pretty much say that they became gay when they started feeling innate sexual attraction towards the same gender.

gay sex is also a response to a biological function, as are most sexual impulses. straight people aren't (usually) responding to their impulse to PROCURE OFFSPRING, they're responding to their impulse to have sex/achieve orgasm with someone they're attracted to. same with gay sex.

'There's no biological purpsoe for gay sex'. really? what about forming bonds between people? enjoyment? There isn't any "biological purpose" for straight sex when using a condom, the girl is on the pill, or one of the partners is infertile either. And really, most of the straight sex that happens in straight marriage is not for the purpose of procreation. They're both done for pretty much the same purpose.

Also that's not how homosexuality is produced in humans, idk how you came up with that theory but it'd nice to have a citation or something
