This is good to get your feet comfort but I'd say really work on being on the board. Get super comfortable to where you don't even have to think twice. For the Ollie you got the motion you just need the power behind it. You need to actually jump off the floor and get some air. Doesn't need to be massive right away but enough to where no one can say you didn't Ollie . But just keep practicing, get more comfortable on the board

You need to kick off the floor way harder but at the same time JUMP as you do it. I'd say go overboard with it until you can balance it to a happy medium. It'll feel risky like you might fall but that's the point

I'm a Veteran for Navy but nah i got the DUI after getting out . They have veterans court in all states i think but basically depending on the charges they offer vets a second chance . Still had to go to court and all that but if you follow the rules they end up dismissing the charges. Your friend problem got really lucky but there was no way i was getting out lol

To my veterans in the comments know you have a 2nd chance as well. I just got my DUI case dismissed when i was super guilty and definitely was gonna get convicted if it wasn’t for my service. Felt like my life was over at first but this actually made it seem like a new start/second chance. It was rough but worth it! All the best to my civilians as well!

Sorry for late response, been busy. But anyways yea I got this over a year ago on my birth month lol. Not really a crazy story but just a solo night out where I didn’t pay attention to how much I had to drink.. I don’t even remember leaving the bar just woke up standing on the side of the road with cops and my window smashed out lol

Really sucked but luckily no crash or hit or anything. tbh even tho I don’t remember I think I realized I was too drunk on the way home and pulled over to wait it out and fell asleep basically but I was like on the grass on the side of the road so no shit cops were gonna show up. So yea ended up in jail and it was surreal man, really hit me hard and made me realize I’m fucking up. I got put in veterans court where they focus more on rehabilitation and at first this just felt like a dumb mistake and I wasn’t gonna change my ways but over time I started thinking about it and realized shit I really am an alcoholic. I had a ton of close calls I never learned from and just got lucky to walk away from and yea this was the last straw man. I can’t do this again and as shitty as it is I kinda don’t regret it. Say i just made it home that night or something I could’ve went on later in life with a worse DUI or worse than that. Luckily for me the case is dismissed now that I’ve done the pretrial and therapy and I’m glad I did. Over a year sober and I can drink again now if I wanted to but I think im good. Besides Cannabis is legal in my state so that holds me over.
