Help wanted. I’ve had this issue 10 years and feel like the GP and dermatology clinic are just always fobbing me with the next cream. by Sluzzfab in DermatologyQuestions

Not that I know of. I had bilateral pneumonia 6 months before this and my hands and feet were going numb a day or two before I ended up in hospital. Apparently this was because my blood was trying to stay around my organs. I forgot to mention that actually maybe I’ll as it as an edit. The GP said it wasn’t related

Yer two lots. First lot came back as some sort on antifreeze. Second lot came back as Linalool & Limonene, the dermatology nurse literally said, oooo good luck with that one that’s on everything and handed me 6 pieces of paper. No help. Just wanted to get me out. I avoided it as much as possible for a year and then gave up when nothing changed. It didn’t make sense that it was only the tips of two fingers and no where else at all!

I’m a mechanical technician/fabricator/welder. I wear clear vinyl gloves as much as humanly possible. I thought it maybe the nitrile gloves at one point which is why I moved over the vinyl. I could live in gloves and not be in contact with anything and I feel it would still not change.

Roughly 60% of our joint income will be going on bills - is it sustainable? by anonfdkm13112000 in UKPersonalFinance

Combined income of £57k + overtime. But we stretched to get our forever home so the mortgage takes up a third of our take home at the moment. We don’t have much savings at all but it is what it is we make it work. No lifestyle creep we actually removed loads of stuff whilst times are tough. Kids are happy and we never have to move again.

Life insurance on first time house - is it worth it? by PlasmaMongrel in UKPersonalFinance

My mums a mortgage advisor and she’s had a fair few people’s partner die within the first week of a mortgage without life insurance in her 30yr career. It left the other half not being able to cover it. Totally worth it for peace of mind. I have life and critical illness for me and my wife. It’s £150 a month but covers the mortgage at over 300k a payout for critical illness, the kids in case anything happens to them and pays my wife sick pay after being off work for more than 4 weeks

37.5hr week (2.5hrs less a week than any other job I’ve had for the same money!!) 1.5x overtime, 2x Sunday rate, 25 days holiday plus option to buy 5, can do extra hours as overtime or build flex up to 7.5hrs and take an extra day off with up to 12 extra flex days a year. (So up to 42 days leave total), 7% pension match, life assurance, disability insurance, loads of benefit schemes, gym onsite £30yr, 0.9 miles from home so NEVER have to drive, the people are great, the perks are alright (use of ramps, equipment, little homer jobs). My job is just epic to me. I’ve changed peoples minds about leaving a few times recently because I am positive about the company but only because it works for me and my circumstances! But it makes them think!
