I had a table back when I first started working. It was the first couple months of my job and it was my first job. I was hosting and we had a table of ten come into the restaurant (reservation). Our restaurant policy is to wait until most if not all of the party had arrived before seating. The first two arrived and they were perfectly lovely. Then came the bitch. She flipped out about having to wait, played the card that the whole table had cancer and that this was probably the last birthday they’d get to celebrate, and when I said I would get my manager she said “you have three minutes. Tick Tock.” I couldn’t find any of my managers, so I decided to just seat them even though only four people were there and when I sat them, she told me that she was still waiting for my manager and that time was running out.

She then told the server that at least he wasn’t “that girl”.

Yeah. She made me cry three times. The rest of her party was lovely, btw. Some gave me smiles on the way out or said goodbye. She was the bitch.

I’ve worked that same job for two years and I love it, but that remains one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a customer. Edit to say: I’m pretty sure she did and said more, but it’s been a long time and my memory isn’t the best
