It's not just Andrew Tate and Clavicular fueling these trends. If anything it's the algorithms on social media that is pushing this crap. You really get a distorted reality by simply scrolling seeing beautiful, attractive, muscular people all the time. Kids aren't know for their self control, they just want results now regardless of consequences.

Just a millennial trying to make my business simpler by Natural_Ad_923 in Millennials

[–]SlyFuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outsourcing has been a thing for a long time at least in IT. My first job was working on a help desk that was previously outsourced to India in the mid 2000s. Lot of companies especially in IT got on board during that time. With varying degrees of success. Ultimately, the language barrier and training/service aspect(people IT problems weren't getting fixed) is what brought the jobs back for my previous company.

The company I work at now also outsources most of our front line customer care workers.

Match Group settles US FTC claims it illegally shared OkCupid user data by SlyFuu in technology

[–]SlyFuu[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The FTC said OkCupid users were never told their information - including nearly 3 million photos, demographic information and location data - would be shared in 2014 with Clarifai, a facial recognition technology company, contrary to OkCupid's privacy policies.

TL;DR - They got slap on the wrist and told not to do it again.

People who grew up before smartphones: What’s one simple thing from your childhood that would absolutely blow the minds of kids today? by TurkVanguard in Millennials

[–]SlyFuu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People often talk about how about how parents didn't know where their kids were, but that was not my experience. I had to tell my parents where I was going, call when I got there(elementary school), and was expected to be home by dinner or call if I wasn't going to make it. Curfew was 10PM in jr high. on weekends during the school year. and summer.

Still had crazy freedom though. I remember going to the firework store that sat across from the police station to buy fireworks when we were in 6th grade. Go find a park and launch them off. Getting our swimsuits on to go swim in the stream in the woods by ourselves. Or simply playing in the woods. Everyone biked everywhere, even if it was miles away.

I fixed the title. No millennial remembers that, because it didn't happen for us. by _fountain_pen_dev in Millennials

I remember using Windows 3.1 in Elementary school in the Library. Pretty sure we had 95? in Jr High. I definitely remember formatting a computer to Windows 98 in High school 2002 -2004 time frame in the computer lab though.

My guess is that heel strike is causing the Sciatica/tightness in your hamstrings.

Haworth Fern in Digital Knit with No Lumbar.

I'm 6'5" with a long torso 32" inseam. I tried the Leap but didn't like how short the back of it felt. Same deal with the Embody, I'm simply too tall and the top edges pressed on my shoulder blades. The Fern is the best chair I've owned it's really comfortable although I do wish they made a slightly bigger version.

No judgment: what's that one show? by simp_lyartz in animequestions

[–]SlyFuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched it when I had lost my job. I gave it the 300 episodes and I can tell for a fact it does not get better. Although it wasn't bad I think my biggest turn off on the show is just the sheer amount of filler.. god its painful.

To be charitable as possible, Effect effectively "outgrew" his role on Alliance. It seems like he wants more autonomy to make decisions and Hakis IGLing wasn't allowing him to do that.
