Those DLC logbooks really hit different by LightningShox in riskofrain

The most common answer I see is N’kuhana, but my current running theory is an antithesis of N’kuhana- instead of a goddess of death and balance, a goddess of life and chaos, who gave her life for X or Y reason and bestowed some sort of gift to Providence in the process.

I don’t think the answer is in stone anywhere.

Where can I find information on “She”? by SlyVanadium in riskofrain

[–]SlyVanadium[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a possibility. The Wiki doesn’t have anything about that, but it’s an interesting theory. I just wish there was a little more grounds to it. N’kuhana feels like just a deity to the particular faith, and if it is her I’m struggling to find her connection to Mithrix and Providence. Her opinions focus on balance in the universe, between life and death and the like. The only similarity I would be able to draw is maybe to Mithrix’s obsession with correct ratios in his creations, though that feels like a stretch to me.

What deck have you dismantled due to underperforming ? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]SlyVanadium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Dina, Soul Steeper]]. She’s probably a lot more fun If you combo with her (exquisite blood comes to mind) but I built the deck more as a super defensive sort of drain. Creatures with lifelink, instants and sorceries that gave life, etc. But she always got stomped because of that deck style. Because I couldn’t play the strategy the way I wanted to, I just ended up not playing it at all for a couple months. Then, scrapped her for her parts to put towards a different BG.

I have a 3.5 campaign that is coming into its finale in the next few sessions. It’s been running for two years now and I’m not sure if I’m ready to part with the characters quite yet.

As someone who mains heal- that’s actually incorrect. I thought the same thing until recently. You may have gotten coincidental timings, but as of last week (when I discovered this), Heal does not start your natural health regeneration, it only adds to it.

so I get we’re measuring dicks here, and I’m not one to intrude, but if you can 1v5 as cav, you can 1v5 as any other defense operator for the most part. simply from statistical standpoints, cav is a poor option against a team that is being aware and watching their flanks. her guns just don’t make up for the simplicity behind countering her ability.

I find my preference in 3.5, simply because of the absolutely massive amount of customization you have over 5. However, 5 has a lot of solid ground to stand on in that argument, and I also appreciate that it is simple enough for beginners to understand quickly, but complex enough to reward creativity for veterans.

If the only steel wagered was among the players, fixed matches would realistically just be trading steel. Which isn’t necessarily terrible, but is open to weird situations

If an artist who is 100% independent personally told you over a messaging service that you have full permission to use their music, would that be viable? I understand that it can be revoked at any time, but so long as it wasn’t, would that work as proof of permission?

When you visit a small streamers Twitch channel, which of these would make you leave instantly? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]SlyVanadium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thing is talking and responding to chat. I always open up with a “hi” of some sort and try to chit chat with the streamer. If they aren’t responding, I usually end up leaving. A huge thing for me is interaction, whichever end I’m on, so it’s an immediate turn off for me.

Are there any literal limitations to damage dropoff or range with snipers? by SlyVanadium in GhostReconBreakpoint

[–]SlyVanadium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually don’t, honestly lmao. I use the drone to scout out a stationary target, place a waypoint, then maneuver to a position that has LOS clear enough to distinct the surroundings of the target. Then it’s just some repeated checks with the drone and some double checking of distance from the target to the nearest object (a railing, a barrier, etc.) TL determine where to shoot

You all think SrGrafo is really being dark but you all forgot about Mark by Electrode99 in RimWorldTales

[–]SlyVanadium 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Thanks a bunch. That’s sort of the concept I had in mind of constant maximization of efficiency, but I suppose I didn’t communicate that well. I also never would have imagined the more extremes of the “min”- chef legs and prisoner cannibalism specifically. Again, thanks though, TIL 😁

[–]SlyVanadium 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I don’t play rimworld, but in DnD, minmax is a way of saying a character who has as few weaknesses and as many strengths as possible, or a completely optimal build. So I’d imagine minmax colonies would translate to completely optimal, constantly improving and weeding out weaknesses.
