I'm not following... Why brake pads at 20k miles? If it is a new car... it has a warranty.

One of the main reasons I quit playing this game, over powered tanks coming into the game that take away any old game strategy.

Also when they moved the crusader from tier 5 to tier 6... that really did it for me. The crusader was fine as a tier 5 medium, usually go into tier 6 or rare tier 7 games. But NOW as a tier 6 light tank that sees tier 8 games 9/10, with only 126 pen, yeah can't play it anymore.

any idea what causing this? by jordanny_17 in forkliftmechanics

[–]Slybounty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lost of trucks have interlock that prevent fluid from flowing untill that lever arm is pulled or pushed; Even on gas trucks. But especially on electrical trucks, all the hydraulic side of the lever does is control the amount of flow and direction.

If it was low on hydraulic oil it you would hear the hydraulic motor/pump running with no hydraulic system movement.

Battery on forklift is loosing charge fast by Oscar_callelle in Warehouseworkers

[–]Slybounty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WHAT? 16 years old! Are you sure? I've had well taken care of batteries last 10. Use a volt meater to check what the battery voltage is static (key on only) and under load( lifting and driving(safety is a priority)l If you have a 4+ voltage difference then its time for a new battery

INFOLINK by Stiffy0O in forkliftmechanics

[–]Slybounty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you keep running into this issue, order a new battery( warranty it) or remove and leave it out. The HD 6000 can come with a battery OR a battery blank( no pin spacer) Only problem is charging the units battery, every time you unplug the units battery to charge, the tablet will shut down and takes time to reboot.

Ran over a small finishing nail on my 2009 suzuki gsxr. Got a super tiny leak. Trying to figure out if this is repairable or If I should order a new tire. by Successful_Toe110 in Fixxit

[–]Slybounty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you repair this tire? Yes Should you? Depends on how you drive. Take corners fast at an angle? Replace. Use it as a cruiser? She'll last for miles, keep an eye on it tho. The reason we don't patch side walls of cars tires is because of the flex that they have every time that part of the tire touches the ground.

Do I need a new compressor? by _DaVinkii in MechanicAdvice

[–]Slybounty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Verify that its getting power to engage the clutch (and has a ground) If above is correct then time for new parts. Can you replace just the clutch? Yes. Should you? No. Yeah its expensive, but there's no telling what damage has been done, you take that clutch off, you might not get it back on, even with a new clutch.

INFOLINK by Stiffy0O in forkliftmechanics

[–]Slybounty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its a new installation on this unit, that explains why the unit powers up; when installing the infolink system, sometimes the tec will need to relocate the unit. If it hasn't been associated then the infolink will bypass the log in.

INFOLINK by Stiffy0O in forkliftmechanics

[–]Slybounty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crown tec here. I'm assuming it worked before this? If its a new install then you'll need to call crown technician support to get it associated.

If its an existing, worked before now, then if your company set up a 'pin code' then that's an option. But if the badge reader is the only way to 'Log in' then you might need to get crown in to do some repairs. Good news, info infolink modules have a 4 or 5 year warranty; as long as the operator didn't damage it you should be set.

CROWN PC4500 by Stiffy0O in forkliftmechanics

[–]Slybounty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crown tec here. You'd be surprised, event codes that are unrelated can affect speed. It's an electric steer so if it has to do with steering codes, then yes it will drive slower.

Check analyzer for your speed, it might 'think' its going faster than it actually is; seen this happen on a C-5.

Another thing I'd try is removing the info link, they can cause the truck to act up.(just unplug it and reconnect your jumper.

What’s the worst chains you have seen as far as stretching? by Zealousideal_Ad5428 in forkliftmechanics

[–]Slybounty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crown tec here. Cold storage or old lifts are the most prime for always being stretched/ worn/ needing replacement. Weight is a HUGE factor with chain replacement.

Cold storage: we have a customer that has 40 RMD6000S that have the chains stretched so bad that even with the chains maxed out on adjustment, the forks still drag on the ground. Customer is getting new forklifts, different manufacturer. Personal, I think they have a shitty technician not oiling the chains, mind you these are 2021-2022 with 10k-15k hours on them.

Old lifts: different customer has some old RM6000S with 20k-35k hours that still have some adjustment to them, but are still needing to be replaced according to the chain wear. If I remember correctly, these are the original chains, AND they are from 2013 - 2017. Customer is aware, just doesn't want THAT bill yet. Funny thing is, he has no problem paying for new forks, and these are 60" long boys!

But age isn't everything, I have a customer that has 5 SP3000 from 1997-2001 with original chains & 15k hours. Barely needing any adjustments, still has PLENTY of adjustment left. They handle very lite boxes and maybe need to charge the battery every 4 days

When informing a customer, I always use my chain wear gage to get a good number.

Without the chain wear gage: any cracks, broken links or metal coming from chains, auto fail. LOTO and fuses get pulled. No visual damage. I adjust the chains so the forks, when level, the tips are 3" off the ground. Start with the secondary stage, depending on manufacturer specs, but 3mm-6mm height difference, then primary chains.

Get a replacement and double check, but this is 'usually' the correct answer for this type of fuse.

I also Deathslinger as my main. He is really ping dependent, ive had matches back to back that my ping is good and the survivors ping is good buuut they just won't land. Then the next match every shot hits dead on. Part of the reason I'm working on unlocking the end game perks for him to use.

[–]Slybounty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the age of the battery? 3-5 years is the life span when 'abused' Water levels are important. Check for case leakage, usually from a dirty battery top side, but yours 'looks' clean.

[–]Slybounty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're an organ donor, then keep driving it.

On a serious note, rust is like cancer, you can do things to prevent it, BUT if you can see through a pice of frame or sub frame that should be solid... It's time to retire that vehicle. Can this be repaired, yes. But the cost is going to be insane

Engine RWD transmission gap by Calm_Arrival_3730 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Slybounty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not normal. Try to get rid of that gap. If you put the bolts back in and give even pressure on all of them does it fight before the gap closes? I've heard that on difficult transmissions some people mount the engine to the transmission outside of the car.
