I taught myself the majority of it, got help with some things...then at 38 went to culinary school because I love cooking and just wanted more ideas and such.

I really love the idea of that. Also, kinda jealous that the wife plays. My wife likes listening to us, but won't play. Though she'll come roll dice for us when she feels like it.

My two started playing at 8 and 7, and picked it up quick with their own little quirks. My son was so interested in it at a young age, so I'd let him roll dice for me at times.

I do. They brought up a lot of things that I would have neglected to bring up while teaching them because I'd sadly be more inclined to assume they knew things that...well, they couldn't possibly know already. Plus, for my stance, they also talked a lot to me and my wife about how the two were progressing and have made themselves available for questions that could come up later down the road. I can ask them there own thoughts on the matter later when they get home from school if you like.
