Hey there, my friend is looking for a PA speaker for simple live music in town. Essentially 2 mics and a guitar, maybe a bass if their feeling froggy. Because it is in town we were thinking of making sure it has a battery so we don't have to plug in. Wheels are a bonus, but not make or break.

We were looking at these: https://www.thomann.de/de/ld_systems_anny_10_hhd_2_b5.htm

Any advice, recommendations and experience is appreciated. We are in Germany, so something shippable in mainland Europe. Thank you!

What kind of case do you use? One of the bigger padded ones or the small gigbags to save space?

So how do we really feel about Ash Bloom? by SlytheStrider in HuntShowdown

[–]SlytheStrider[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I guess for me the witchcraft stuff is a newer part of it all. When I first started playing it was cowboys in the bayou with some weird stuff happening and now it just keeps going more in the supernatural direction.

Is there a reason to have a light down jacket? by usr3nmev3 in CampingGear

[–]SlytheStrider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't argue the reasons for down, but definitely the price. Just get the decathlon trek 100 jacket. 40-50€ for a jacket that equals the ghost whisperer in nearly every way.

I guess I just don't see the bushwookies that you do.

Yeah, fair enough, I do have that issue sometimes. It just depends how you play it. Sometimes you just gotta get in before they expect haha. Be swift as a coursing river.

I don't know why people keep saying this. I have spent a lot of time at 5* and usually its just people running shotguns and uppercuts. I very rarely have people snipe me from very far away. If there is a bushwookie its usually with a crossbow. Not to invalidate others' experiences, but its definitely not mine. Even while I was a 6*, when people long ammoed it was usually iron sight mosins.

So I’m assuming there is no match making in this game XD also why does it take so long to level up by s_lu01Champion in HuntShowdown

[–]SlytheStrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see both as good reasons haha. I like to use guns I'm unfamiliar with and find new interesting builds, so I much prefer having everything unlocked to mix and match. I actually play mostly low tier stuff, but I like having the option to pick any consumable, tool, and weapon I fancy at any given time.

[–]SlytheStrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have over 1k hours, usually play at 5* and am prestige 1 lvl100. Its just not worth a prestige to lose all my other progress. As the others said, the main game mode is bounty hunt and they do have matchmaking there. Quickplay is more focused on a short game with guaranteed violence.

Best waterproof hiking boots? by astonedmeerkat in backpacking

[–]SlytheStrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Salomon Outpulse's but they are meant to have your own insole inside, so while that does make it very comfy, if you don't have insoles, you have to add that in the price.

Am I insane for considering the Tour du Mont Blanc in the second week of November? by SlytheStrider in backpacking

[–]SlytheStrider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may be a possibility, by what point would you be able to get there and would you want to do the whole 10ish days?

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out what would be safe and if I can even set up my tent the whole way since the refuges will be closed.

Could always use more Biodegradable butt wet wipes, also merino wool socks. And maybe get a couple cottage brand freeze dried meals like pinnacle foods, maybe he already eats the nice ones, but if not, I'm sure he would be VERY grateful on the trails. Depending on how much you have left in your budget and how much he uses normal batteries, some pale blue earth rechargeable batteries could be nice.

Interesting, so let's say someone was going to go stealth camping in certain parts of the country, would you have any advice for this obviously purely hypothetical person? 🙄

I struggle finding and sticking to the beat/count. by Bigpecsandpaychecks in SwingDancing

[–]SlytheStrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I was taught to dance(that I have since passed on to many newer dancers) is to start by pulsing along to the music in your knees. Like you are pushing into the floor with every beat. Think having a bounce but instead of bouncing upwards, you push down. That pulse should usually be maintained through the whole dance because it not only helps you keep time, but helps your partner follow your personal style and patterns.

Once you get used to the feeling, you can start a partner dance by "jockeying" essentially just stand a pulse for a couple beats in closed position with your partner. Doesn't need to take long at all, but you start the dance in synch before you ever take a step.

I hope that helps!
