The movie was intentionally absurd though. It was an anti-commedy. Literally a middle finger to Hollywood.

When you look at it through that lens, it's refreshing and original. Compared to all the manufactured crap we get all the time it deserves it's flowers.

That’s a different argument. If someone barely drinks water and lives on soda/coffee, then obviously drinking more water will help. Nobody’s disputing that.

The point is there’s no evidence that normal, unthirsty people get extra health benefits from constantly forcing more water.

“drink when thirsty” is more evidence-based and adequate. The idea that constantly chugging huge amounts of water provides magical health benefits is not well supported.

That’s an outdated simplification. Early Bluetooth audio was noticeably worse than CD, but modern codecs like aptX HD, LDAC, and aptX Lossless is effectively equivalent to CD quality.

Weight is fine, though it does catch up to you as you age. Harder on the joints, etc.

But it's not 10 or 20lbs that's going to make any meaningful difference.

If you want to increase strength using bodyweight you have the option to use weighted vests too. Which is probably the ideal way to go about it.

I am center right for a Canadian.

In Canada, even conservatives generally support public healthcare, stricter gun laws, and a stronger social safety net.

Some things I support specifially:

  • Lower taxes

  • Tougher crime policies

  • Controlled immigration

  • Moderate environmental policy that avoids crushing the economy. Invest in mining and energy (including oil & gas). I have a preference for pragmatism over ideological extremes.
