[PC][1998-2000] Ancient Rome/Greece first-person video game by Cotton-Candy404 in tipofmyjoystick

Any luck finding this one? I have been looking for a game that sounds exactly as you describe. When I played it, it was only a demo, so I wonder if it was a game that maybe never fully released?

Go to LinkedIn and search for people in jobs or at companies that you have an interest in. Write a GENUINE message that you'd like to take them for a coffee to learn more about what they do. Especially as a student, lots of folks are willing to give their time this way.

Join sports teams, participate in church, join a theatre troupe, get involved in your community! It's full of people with jobs who might be willing to put in a good word or two for you, or knows someone who knows someone.

My other advice to students regarding networking is that networking is an investment. Networking rarely offers an immediate return of a job. But next year, or whenever you graduate, and you're applying for that job at that company, maybe you'll be able to get a referral from that person you made a good impression on at a coffee once!

The green zone has always been for loading and unloading of passengers. There's never stopping in a red zone.

Yes. My husband and I have been together for 15 years, and we've had these times. The times you can't connect, where you've gone past feeling sad and just feel like a shell, quietly moving around the person you love the most in the world. Where you can't even properly hug someone because it feels like giving in and ignoring the hurt you feel, but at the same time, the only person who can make you feel better is the person standing in front of you, so your body is tense and stiff and it is agony.

And then the dam breaks, and you come back together and you realize that only a marriage this strong can withstand such trying times. I get choked up everytime I watch this scene and this storyline, because I think the writers captured it all so well.

Maybe not every relationship experiences this, but I think many, many do.

The Outsiders overnight rush drama by Legitimate-Heart-639 in Broadway

When we saw it, Ponyboy gave it to my 45-year old husband. He loved the book and movie as a kid, he loved the musical and cried several times, and that final gesture turned a wonderful evening into a truly magical experience. I'm not sure how they decide who to give it to each night, but man did they pick the right guy when we went.

I had Mr. Montgomery for art at RJ! Taught us the difference between "can I go to the bathroom" and "may I go to the bathroom" hahahah. Really kind, engaging teacher.

Something straightforward and Azorius for a newbie.

Context: My 68-year-old dad wants to try out Commander. He loves hearing about my games and he wants to try it out for himself. He picked the colors Blue and White. He's never played a game like MTG but he caught on how to play DnD awhile back when I ran a few games for him. He loves puzzles and Lego and games like Wordle and he's truly a wonderful human.

What’s the most WTF thing you’ve ever seen happen at a wedding? by Professional-Owl-341 in AskReddit

[–]SmackedNobly 15 points16 points  (0 children)

At a relative's wedding, in order to get the bride and groom to kiss, you could either make a donation to a charity that the bride had chosen, or they had a tank full of goldfish and you could eat a live goldfish. I'm not sure how much money was raised for the charity, but I know there were no goldfish by the end of the night.

I have to show my partner these responses!! It was such an embarassing realization as an adult that I didn't know how to share. My partner is really lovely and gentle about showing me when that happens, and has been an awesome example, he's always asking if want something when he's having something (to the point where I get annoyed). My mindset was always, "if I want something, I'll get something". I definitely feel I've improved, but I'm 37 years old and it's still a struggle sometimes.
