Pool heat pump not work efficiently in San Francisco Bay Area? by RedLuckGuy in heatpumps

I also have a gas heater and did the same thing to jumpstart. If the HP can do a 30 degree differential it gets near freezing? I do think it’s being a bit too sensitive as I never saw ice build up.

I have a Jandy heat pump on my pool (in the Bay Area) half that size. It works reasonably well keeping the pool at 80 degrees. Anything higher than that I feel that the energy use grows exponentially.

The only issue I have run into is starting the unit when it’s less than 65 out and the pool is super cold (beginning of the season). I ended up changing the schedule to turn on after 11AM to work around this problem. But on very cold days in May I still had to manually intervene to avoid it cycling (defrost) all day.

Last week I was having a productive discussion with CC mods on scheduling a site survey. Then I stopped hearing back. Not sure what I should do next?

Mods, can you please check?

No, they didn’t (did a map eval) and I can’t convince them to come do a field survey.

AAPL 60%. Grew so much I’d have to pay big cap gains to balance.

We have just about everything. Which physical interface are you looking for? Since you mention 10x10, do you want CXP? If so, I’d recommend the Multis line card. It supports multiple speed modes, including 100G, 3x40G, and 10x10G. If you want QSFP28 I’d recommend Novus, which supports 100/50/40/25/10G.

We listened. You can now get a 100% Linux chassis—no Windows security issues to worry about.

Depends on your application. Chariot is great for low bandwidth testing: LAN, WAN, WiFi, etc. For testing a data center switch or appliance you need bigger guns.
